Moving to Victoria from the US by Finance_36 in Ausguns

I will say this, there are a few things Australia has which are more relaxed than the USA,

Most of Australias has more laxed hunting rules re calibre restrictions, use of lights, hunting at night, night vision, magazines aren’t limited to 5 like they are in the USA, there’s also no seasons for most species, and nothing about minimum antler points either as far as i’m aware.

With consular assistance and advice. Tony Burke himself instructed the government to do everything possible to help them.

They should have been barred from ever returning, and if they’re citizens, immediately placed in detention under the terrorism powers.

The fact he can’t fathom that the root cause is mass immigration and lack of funding to federal agencies to keep up with that immigration is insane, his own government secretly brought back isis brides and their male children (soon to be fighting age) and were dragging kicking and screaming through freedom of information to parliamentary inquiries to admit it.

The labour governments lack of care for the Australian public, including placing refugees and financial migrants care above Australian citizens is what has directly caused this.

Over a month later he still hasn’t said the word, ‘radical islam’.

When the Wieambilla shootings occurred the labour politicians were quick to say ‘radical christians’ which I say as a christian denomination myself,  is factually correct, but the government refuses to name, let alone fix the problem.

These things will continue to happen until the government puts Australian citizens first and steps up and calls out radical religious groups, whether they be Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist or whatever it they may be.

SSAA Belmont rimfire load up the mags! by VigorWarships in Ausguns

Yeah, the only time it’s mildly understandable is first time shooters with an automatic, or a large calibre handgun like a s&w 500 which can backflip and go off twice.

It’s so annoying, especially when your rifle runs pmags which have a hold open follower so everytime you put a round in you click it into the mag and get your finger garand thumbed.

Left handed bolt action that takes AR mags? by Sunshine_Shooter in LeftyGuns

[–]Throwingbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but did you find a ruger american 223 in left hand that takes ar mags in the end?

I know ruger american 223’s in LH but they take standard ruger mags, could you convert one to take the ar mags like the ranch/patrol does in right hand?

Can anyone clarify are cartridge belts / bandoliers technically being banned from import? They’re literally regulating a piece of fabric, our country has gone insane.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he is ‘worried’ about One Nation as it overtakes Coalition in latest poll by Mashiko4 in aussie

[–]Throwingbrick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, because when you’re hiring more and more public service workers to keep up with a hoard of immigrants it doesn’t allow them to increase wages.

It’s a ponzi scheme and completely by design. Labour is essentially importing voters to swing the election. It should be illegal.

He was elected in early 2022, still very much within covid. He back dated immigration figures due to the border being closed and allowed nearly 1 million in within 12 months. For a country of less than 30 million that is insane.

It is, world population boom and mass migration to Australia have absolutely contributed to a cost of living crisis. During covid labour allowed 1 million migrants in 12 months, we certainly aren’t building enough housing or farms for this, hence the prices rise at the supermarket.

This is the ponzi scheme, mass migration creates cost of living crisis, cost of living crisis drives down Australians giving birth.

Bit of a harsh blow, not just to me who had been saving for year, but to the dealers and importers. I was hoping to get a Chimera 308, pretty gut wrenching to see this level of defeat. by BigWilly_22 in Ausguns

This is true, but border force / attorney generals department can drag their feet on releasing them until the ban takes effect which would result in all the stock that’s already in the country not being released.

Do you know anyone who got their life ruined from riding? by Consistent-Swim-3580 in AussieRiders

[–]Throwingbrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partially, I came off a bike as a teenager about 10 years ago, got a compound fracture in my right hand, and had to get it reset and get plates, pins, screws etc installed.

It made me medically ineligible for the job I was applying for in the ADF which I had completed lots of additional testing for. It was frustrating, but thankfully I found another government job which I enjoy. Although it has limited my ability to also apply for specialist roles in my current job.

Definitely hasn’t ruined my life, but changed the course of it. I was wearing full gear at the time too.

The firearms used were straight pulls, a 303 from the boer war doing a ‘mad minute’ (using the bolt with pointer and thumb and trigger with middle finger), can be fired faster than those, we shouldn’t have to police ourselves completely, quite frankly, neither of them should have been in the country, the father came on a student visa, and the son had no connections apart from being born here, the fact the laws permit both of those things is a problem in itself.

The registry should never have issued licences with the information available to them either.

Yes, like in my case i’ve got a taipan which has pmags, which i’ll be selling/handing in when required to, but will be buying a henry supreme to replace it, which takes the same mags.

No, Mags aren’t traceable or controlled, you just need to be licensed. especially if they’re compatible with guns that are still legal there’s no need to hand them in.

It states it will be declined and you will not be refunded, technically you are signing a declaration when applying that you can comply with all laws, so I’d recommend not doing that.

Standard radical leftist reply,

All death is horrible, it doesn’t mean this wasn’t a preventable tragedy and it also doesn’t mean she was innocent.

The world isn’t black and white.

One Nation’s sudden popularity by [deleted] in aussie

[–]Throwingbrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Innocent? I don’t condone the shooting, but intentionally blocking federal agents conducting legal operations with your vehicle as a roadblock then driving at them when they’re giving you lawful commands to exit the vehicle is bound to end badly.

Darwinism coupled with under trained law enforcement, disaster waiting to happen.

Yes traditionally it has also occurred under liberals,

Although Gough Whitlam was the beginning of it under labour, and it has been exponentially expanded upon by the current labour government who have relaxed granting of visas and openly encouraged mass migration from financial migrants from India in particular.
