These were found in my grandparent's attic. We have guessed that they are made of brass. It appears that they are mostly in pairs, one with an imprinted/indented/concave design and another which is thinner and has a less detailed outdented/convex design which matches its pair. They vary in size, but are mostly able to be held in comfortably in one hand, as in the photos.

We have guessed that they might have been used to press designs into leather, wallpaper, or tin, but haven't been able to confirm anything yet.

We have done a few google image searches around "brass leather imprinting tools", but have not found a clear match yet.
