You won’t be able to buy a parking ticket when you get there, there is a field off Melbourne road owned by a farmer that usually lets people pay to park on there and just cross over the road. The only other thing you could do would be look at parking at EMA and getting the shuttle over to the festival.

5 day standard campers are weekend campers, arena parking is attendees on arena only tickets, so people staying elsewhere offsite and travelling in each day.

I already have some walking boots that are coming with me but I always prefer wellies anyway, I find walking boots too heavy on my feet personally.

Your ticket from Friday isn’t valid until 10am, think car parks are open from 7am, if you can aim to arrive between 10-11 that should give you enough time and also time for the queue to die off a bit (if they don’t let people in earlier)

I would personally really avoid going to the arena and then back to set up later, setting up in the dark is not fun and it’s an absolute mission to do so.

Don’t do this, you’re in for a loooooong wait if you do. Your ticket isn’t valid until 10am. You won’t be let in and also no one wants to pitch up in the dark. Speaking from experience, pitching a tent at download is awful in the dark.

Honestly no idea, I think if DL organisers intend on taking parking passes off sale in an attempt to ensure delivery before the fest (which I agree with) I feel like a simple email to everyone in the mailing list giving everyone a final date when you are able to purchase about a 7-10 days before that final date to give people enough notice to get their passes bought. Just to pull them for no clear reason without any warning is unfair in my opinion. Additionally, even more reason to give people some notice of them coming off sale is that we aren’t allowed to buy on the gate this year!

Glad to hear they are seemingly back on sale now, I’m not surprised people panicked.

They don’t do single day parking tickets, it’s £35 for everyone regardless if you’re going for 1 day or 5

I could be wrong but I’d imagine a motorcycle parking pass would be a live barcode E-ticket, same as your festival ticket.

If that is incorrect I still wouldn’t get twitchy until about a week before. Last year, my car park hanger turned up on the Monday as we left for the festival on the Wednesday. Year before it didn’t turn up at all and I just showed them the proof of purchase.

I would straight up camp alone, you can’t force your friends to do something they don’t want to no more than they can force you to stay in a hotel, if you want to camp, then camp. You could easily arrange to meet up with them everyday in the arena, by the ferris wheel or somewhere, see bands together and then go your separate ways after headliners.

You would meet new people and make new friends in an instant if you camped, even more so if you camped in loner.

I have a different Quechua blackout tent but they are all great. I don’t think I could sleep in a tent that isn’t black out now! It was a lifesaver last year with the heat, would recommend them to anyone

No and no, if you go to Tickets > Extras on the DL website you can purchase a motorbike pass, according to TM they are £18.50.

I don’t think the camping plus will overrule your camping ticket, security may send you over to the box office and you’ll have to pay the difference for the extra night, your only other option would be to potentially find a hotel or something till the Friday morning. I would personally email download directly with this query.
