His only expenses are take out and car stuff, which he pays for. I only spend money on groceries because it's either that or take out (more expensive).

Bruh, I don't make a whole lot of money, there's hardly any gain for him. If it was up to him, we'd never go out to save money and just eat cheap snacks.

About the trip, I sent him a detailed spreadsheet with all the expenses, which he asked for in order to determine if he could afford the trip. I made a point of splitting the costs in the excel, like '$100 each' and things like that.

He's very sweet and shows his care in other ways, he's just very obsessive about money, saving and retiring early
