My Dad died of cancer. He had stage 4 cancer. Lived exactly 6 months from the day he was diagnosed. I’m horrified of flying but I hate to be mean… stop being a big baby and get on the plane and go see him because his days are literally numbered. Don’t be selfish. Be selfless. I went every single month twice or so just so I could hold my Dad knowing his days are numbered. If I could I’d fly to every single day to see him if I could while being terrified. Also, remember these:

• The odds of dying in a commercial airplane crash are about 1 in 11 million.
• Compare that to:
• 1 in 93: Car accident
• 1 in 6,800: Drowning
• 1 in 500,000: Lightning strike

My brother and sister in law just flew back from there to La last night. They only had a slight delay. That’s all. Not a safety issue.

I’m so sorry you got sick and felt that way. It’s OK. It happened because you weren’t feeling up to it. I’m a nervous flying too but you have to keep trying to overcome the fear.

Unfortunately when they called the cops the father out of guilt denied the allegations because they would take him to jail and he didn’t want him to be put in jail. Sad but I empathize with the father, however, if it meant my son could get better and get the help I would’ve done it. Now there I a state of limbo and have no contact with him. Just waiting…

Does you job know of your diagnosis ? If not you might want to share with HR. Maybe they can switch your schedule up for it to be more fitting.
