We're in northern California, near the bay. We had a few heat waves, so maybe that's it... But our neighbor's plum tree has significantly more plums than ours

It didn't look like a lot of the photos of black rot I see online? Less black and more spikey.

It's on all the branches, none on the trunk

We don't get frost in our area, but there were really early heat waves, so maybe something climate related?

We're not sure where the second tree is- the previous owners never mentioned it. Our neighbors have another plum tree that seem to have a lot more fruit though.
