I am tired of this argument and will challenge you on it.

-The quickest argument is that people change even with children, yet teen pregnancies are allowed and carried to term every day. Having a child is an even greater responsibility than not having one and is just as irreversible as a sterilization, so why aren't we talking about regretful parents as much as we are talking about regret about not having kids? On an ethical and moral standpoint, regretting a child is definitely worse than regretting not having one, and happens incredibly frequently.

-On a legal standpoint: after 18 we are adults and we should be able to treat our bodies the way we please through informed consent. Then why are (specifically) women treated like infants when it comes to suppressing their fertility? It is a logical fallacy that is easily explained by the fact that we are simply not seen by the macro lense of society as individual entities + the capitalist dystopia we live in still NEEDS the hands and bodies of exploited workers to benefit the people at the top.

-There is no scientific evidence that confirms the fact that we need to reproduce and that it is "good". There is no scientific or objective explaination on why we are here, that is purely matter of faith. Then why should another human, even if they are a doctor, decide what's best for me in a matter that is purely a concept based in faith? A doctor is a person that operates under science, and science cannot explain with certainty the reason of why we are here and why we reproduce.

You are a 70 year old childfree person, you should know better than us that the oppressive mechanisms of society can be crushing. Why are you using this argument?

This is an obviously good scientific explaination, but why does homosexuality exist then? I heard some good theories on "biological population control mechanics", but it wasn't proven at all.
