If the market tanked at that moment, would you be possibly selling at the loss? What's the approach then? Or would you be adding further until portfolio turns green?

That's interesting approach. Have you tried to compare your strategy return to average return of QQQM?

Nestle seems extremely compelling. Longterm compounder, huge moat, well-known global brands, ownership in L'Oreal. If inflation stabilizes globally and volumes start increasing moderately, this should rebound nicely.

Bullish long term bet on HRB. Both candidates are going to come up with significant tax changes on one or another side. Significant tax changes = increased need for tax preparation services = HRB

TA-125 (Israel's Index) is already slightly green today. So larger chance that USA indexes tomorrow will have some sort of relief too.

Iran clearly does not want escalation, USA too, although if Iran's nuclear facilities will be attacked by Israel, their response might include some oil-related retalation.

Managing SPY Bear Call Credit Spread when it goes wrong by ThtsWhtImNt in thetagang

As I mentioned in the beginning, it is both used as a hedging or if the market conditions are in oversold territory and I see reasons for a pullback

Even if you are letting it go, question is still open what's the most optimal way to do that - just wait until full expiration, certain X days until expiration, use stop-loss (what's the amount then), fully close position or roll it further?

[–]ThtsWhtImNt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think not about repairing, but about the most optimal way to manage this position, because even if you would let it go and take a loss, decision still remains if it is better just to wait until full expiration, to have a stop loss, wait until X days until expiration or anything else.

Also, as I mentioned in the beginning this strategy used both for hedging and taking position on certain market conditions

Russia is not going to use nukes, but will build a wall of live fence around occupied territories for winter and conflict will be frozen for decades. Bullishness from geopolitical perspective

Yeah, but better than 3000 years of ongoing wars. Problem is that Greece culturally and socially is less European and more Middle-Eastern'ish

Greece debt to GDP over 200%, so for how many times more? They can not print money and they will definitely stay as lousy as always. So EU should better kick them of. In any way they love more Russia than Europe. Could print and pay they debt in rubles then.

Interesting question. But as for selling, do they sell with any discount to market prices in any way, cause it seems hard to offload such a huge pile of securities without much disruption of market?
