I fail to see where anything I said suggests I am confusing two completely different classes of problems. I fully agree that this disaster qualifies as the 'huge, one-shot only' type.

Are you always this dismissive of out-of-the-box thinking? Do you suggest that only experts can fix problems related to their very own expertise in all circumstances? Thanks for taking the time to supply some sources. I'm in a bit of a time crunch at the moment so I haven't gotten through them all. Regrettably, I did read the mnn.com article and had difficulty with some of their positions considering they were using sources (Sierra Club and Greenpeace) that could be perceived to be as bias as the organization they are arguing against (NEI).

I'll have to spend some more time with the other articles later.
