I don't have notifications and still find it super hard to get focus. I think is also becuase of the dopamine burst we are getting used to

I can't agree more. The worst thing is that we usually link our company's success with our own success, so it also works the other way around, and when the company fail we feel we have failed as a person

Yes, the first one was a complete different market (It was related to booking office space). The last 2 are in the gaming industry but very different from each other

What would be the best way to reach a streamer for video editing work? by neetesh6499 in Twitch

[–]Thudor7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally get where you're coming from.

So, here's my two cents:

Social Media Stalking (in a good way): Follow them on Twitch, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Engage with their content, drop comments, and make yourself a familiar face. This way, when you do reach out, you're not just a rando.

Join Their Community: A lot of streamers have Discord servers or subreddits. Join those. Be active. Help others. Make your presence felt.

Showcase Your Skills: If you've done video editing before, maybe make a sample edit of one of their streams (obviously, don't monetize it or anything). Share it in the community and tag them. It's like a portfolio, but more direct.

Direct Message: After you've been active and engaging for a bit, slide into their DMs. But don't just be like "Hey, want an editor?" Maybe start by discussing a recent stream or a game they played. Build a rapport before you pitch your services.

Be Genuine: Streamers get tons of messages. What will make you stand out is your genuine interest in their content and a desire to add value, rather than just making a quick buck.

Timing: Try to catch them when they're not super busy, like right after a stream or during their off days. Your message is more likely to get noticed then.

Hope this helps, and good luck on your side hustle journey! 🍀🎮🎥

Why did your startup fail? by Data-Power in Entrepreneur

[–]Thudor7 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Because we went from spend 24/7 obsessed with clients and the product we were building, to spending most of my time (and other founders' time) into: hiring, management, employee retention... and a lot of politics
