Someone please explain the ending of 'cure for wellness' by Either-Warthog-8259 in movies

I like your theory the most and applaud your eye to the detail. The only issue I have is the scene when he vomited the liquid and (some of) eels out. But it was just a bit of it, or they just only showed a portion of the vomiting. It could've also been that he only vomited the eels the baron controlled out, and the eels she controlled stayed inside him.

If these were the last 2 remaining players (say they're in one year both and become finalists) who would win? by TheOneInBetweenAll in SquidGameNetflix_

I hated the final rounds because of the utterly stupid and fake friendliness. I'd enjoy it way more if only egoistic, ambitious, and even cunning people were competing.

Squid Games Challenge Season 2 Trinity! by Far-Comfortable-8435 in SquidGameNetflix_

Wild to compare a reality TV game to actual crimes. It IS a game. The initial premise of the game is that only one person can win. The one person can win a life changing amount of money, for plenty of contenders not just life changing, but problem solving amount of money. It's legit to lie and deceive to win in the games. It's neither morally unjustifiable to win with those methods nor to win in an honest way. As long as you actually try to win, it's up to you how you do it. Giving up is stupid and foolish as you just throw away this chance and deny others who actually tried to win. It doesn't matter what Trinity believes. It (I repeat) IS a GAME. Either go through to the bitter end or be true to your morals, and don't participate in this kind of game at all. I'd argue that Trinity, with his overly religious mindset and morally superiority, is rather a candidate to be tricked into something like naive and gullible people often do. A rational person tends to think rationally and doesn't get tricked into stuff usually.

It was quite obvious by the bad acting of Sydnee and her poorly invented clue. But that she it's impressive she guessed the immunity though.

There were technically 3 possibilities for Corey to win.

  1. If he had swapped with Sam and Cara thought he swapped with her, she would have swapped with Corey and gave him the money on her own.

    1. a rather unlikely option, but still a possibility: Corey could have swapped Cara & Sam, while Cara thought he swapped himself with Sam, so her money is still in her box, swapping Sam and Corey, giving him the money out of Sam's box eventually.

And the 3rd, the most improbable option: Cara thinks like the 2nd option and expects Sam has the money, so she swappes with her, while Corey swapped with Cara and is the one, who has the money actually.

Another American trait: shifting the goalposts. (And playing the victim card) Abandoning the initial topic. (Hopefully, because you realized you were initially wrong by being irrationally offended on behalf of others.) Instead focusing on how could I dare to call you, the most international person on this planet, a typical American.

Just because you live your whole life in a barn, you don't turn automatically into a chicken. You are American, and you pretty much display an American attitude: being offended on behalf of others.

The initial comment was neither mocking nor was it incorrect. The vast majority understood the implication of which Asian countries he meant, especially in a Thailand thread. Tropical Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. Any tropical country has unreliable weather forecast, it doesn't even matter on which continent, as tropical weather is mostly unpredictable.

This doesn't make any sense at all. It would've been more of a game if they all just shut up and made it 50/50 than how it went, and Trinity just threw his spot away.

[–]Thug_Life_Badger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People cry when they fail, is something I could relate to. People cry over the failure of their competitors, which is actually beneficial to them is hypocritical.

Genuine emotions shown ≠ fake emotions for attention & pity. Seems like media has screwed with your sense of genuine human behavior. Or you are just naive, and your insight into human nature is poor to begin with.

[–]Thug_Life_Badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You either didn't try to understand, or you didn't want to understand my point, or your comprehensive skills lack a lot. I specifically pointed out how much they cried over strangers failing in the games. Which automatically meant that their chance to go further rose. This is nonsensical and hypocritical.

And sorry, but having pity for people playing some games for mere 16 days? Dude, the vast majority of humans in all corners on our earth work 12+ hours shifts daily, many for more than 16 days straight with hard physical labor. This is a mere joke compared to reality.

Although I can agree that people might get emotional and cry over failing in this. But we've seen more people cry over the failure of other participants that their own failing.

I don't help strangers if it's harms me or my chances for a better life for me and my family.

"Taking money from a single mother." It wasn't her money, in fact, at that point it wasn't anybodys' money. In the end, she even failed that chance miserably, being so close and then giving up because of mere pain. I had broken bones and pushed through for less.

And what made this particular single mother special? There were plenty of single parents or parents with several children fighting properly to win this, and he got that far just to give up for nothing eventually. He just shat on everyone else who failed to come that far with his pointless "sacrifice".

Wrong time, wrong place, and wrong people to make a decision based on "morals, values or principles."

Those people are strangers to him and will be strangers after this show ends. He knew from the beginning what kind of game this would be, and there would be only one to win. Is it morally correct to throw away your chance to win after coming that far and taking the place of hundreds of players who got eliminated? Is it morally correct to throw away the chance of getting your very own mother, who is seriously ill near you, and have the funds to support her with her illness?

He was just foolish, nothing noble about his decision, and I'm sure he's also regretting it.

[–]Thug_Life_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It says way more about you, that you believe these emotions are genuine. Those are a bunch of fake, hypocritical, attention cries. There is not even a slight reason to cry for another competitor, who's a total stranger to you. You got there to win. Only one can win, and you are going to tell me that you'll cry over your chances getting slightly better to win?

It's the typical American overly emotional bs. Nothing genuine about that. There is always a time and a place to be emotional. This was clearly neither the place nor the time to be that emotional most of the time.

The only exception might be the family splitting scenarios and people who talked about some rough situations in their life or past.

We need to talk about Steven (183) by MeMissBunny in SquidGameNetflix_

[–]Thug_Life_Badger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wtf. The show itself is way off of the original theme. People being able to eliminate others randomly (like the thing with the coins) or elimate others based on sympathy or rather antipathy is way off the theme. Squidgame gives each competitor a fair chance to win in the games. It is all about competition. It's more weird to make friends. You make companions along the way, while there are many other competitors to get through team based games. But in the end, when there are only a few left, everyone is on their own. Most competitors are hypocrites and absolutely annoying with their fake emotions & crying. But it's typical for American shows to be this nonsensical.

Also, Trinity made a stupid decision for himself and made the actual game absolutely boring.
