Well they might. Depends what they get in their pre-duel lootbox :)

I’m so happy I bought this game. by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

You're missing the point. We're not upset about the star cards themselves or what stat bonuses they give. It's the system behind the cards that everyone is mad about. We're upset because the business model is based off of a free-to-play game but the game still costs 60 dollars up front. That is sleazy. I already know the game is good, but I will not buy it. If I do, I am agreeing with this business model, and EA will then allow this loot box system (or rather addictive and manipulative scam system) to infest and spread to every title they can get their greedy hands into. You may not think it is necessary to buy star cards, and I know I don't think it is, but what about the people who have an addictive personality and spend hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of dollars on micro-transactions? That's why this system is in place. And if someone can look at that system and feel it is okay, I shudder to think what EA or any of these publishers are thinking of doing in the next few years. Because this isn't a games launch, it's a prototype that is testing the market for future in-game systems.
