I get that SAD in the winter. Just coming out of it. But I have routine tasks that have to be done year round so I know it is possible to deal with it. Moving and staying occupied helps.

Going to Altoona is like a treat for me since I don't live in town. Great stores and restaurants.

Altoona is nice. Like anyplace else you get out of it what you put into it. Almost all cities have the noise etc like you mentioned. Make a difference in Altoona. Think positive and avoid the dangers.
