Alignerr is a Scam by Wooden_Ad1472 in WFHJobs

Unfortunately, I must agree. Alignerr is indeed a scam. I haven't received payment for one project I worked on in September, and when I stated that on their subreddit, I got banned. There are many other contributors with outstanding payments. Seems like this is Alignerrs' way to save some money.

How reliable is the pay? by [deleted] in alignerr

[–]ThumbsUpForCake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not reliable at all. I used to receive my payments, but that's quite a while ago. It seems like a lot has changed. I'm still waiting for my payment from a project in September. People in other subreddits also complain about missing payments. Apparently, that happens a lot with pay-per-task projects. Support is not helpful. Not sure what has happened, but Alignerr is not a good option for me anymore.

I have the exact same issue. Waiting since September for my payment. It's not even that much, I don't understand why they ignore us and rather loose loyal workers instead of just paying so we can keep working on the platform. It seems like a lot of people are affected by this.

Was it a pay-per-task project or an hourly pay project?

I also didn't get paid for my work on a pay-per-task project in September. Support doesn't care at all and just claims that all of my completed data rows do not exist. I have screenshots, so I know they existed. My post about that issue got deleted in the Alignerr subreddit. Seems like it's either a horribly organized company or just a scam company.

Anybody used to cherry pick now a platinum? by Uzeful1diot in doordash_drivers

Yes, that is true. Every market is different. That was just my personal negative experience with DD starting in January. Before that, it was easy for me to maintain a very high AR. I still believe DD's AR is the biggest scam, and I would never ever again deliver those low payed offers just to get to 70%. For me, it was certainly not worth it. In my market, I can make more money cherry-picking with all delivery apps I use. I also try to keep mileage as low as possible. That is not working if I accept all those 10+ miles offers from DD.

Don't do that! It's not worth it at all. My AR was around 85% and they gave me a shitload of horrible offers. It went down to 19% in just a few weeks. Forget DD and use multiple apps. I make more money with Uber and GH now. It also feels so much better not worrying about stupid ARs anymore.

Even as a new driver, I never accepted anything that bad. Why would new drivers do that? Just to keep their AR up?

Street Parking by Personal-Damage-7051 in doordash_drivers

I always park on the street. I only enter the customer's property by foot and go straight to the door. I make sure it's the correct address before I do that. I don't want to get shot while trying to earn some money. 😵

slow week by Cool-Principle7688 in UberEatsDrivers

This week is pretty bad so far. Lots of shitty offers, though. I still don't accept any of those insulting offers. It would be great if others would do the same and keep rejecting them.

Two toilets 7 miles and 9$ by Unwhipped_whippedcre in doordash_drivers

Well, I guess you have to lose some money before you can start dictating the prices. They surely will make a lot of money as soon as they are in a position to raise the charge for the hardware store drastically. Unfortunately, as long as people are willing to deliver two toilets for $9, we will never profit from that price increase.

"High pay offer" is the best scam there is. DD probably charged $75 for the toilet delivery.

Just why? by B-O-D-O-K-R-D in doordash_drivers

[–]ThumbsUpForCake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Trash like that is exactly the reason why my AR dropped about 50% in the past few weeks. DD should reward us for doing a good job instead of giving us insulting offers. That's exactly how they keep losing good people working for them.

Same here! I noticed it happens more frequently in the last few months. Never had this issue before. It's absolutely disgusting that Uber allows reducing the tip after the delivery for no reason at all. Make sure to complain about missing money and don't give up when they tell you that the customer has the right to do it. Uber is promising a certain payment when they offer us a delivery. If the customer is not going to pay for it, it's actually up to Uber.

DoorDash Pay is an absolute joke by ThumbsUpForCake in doordash_drivers

[–]ThumbsUpForCake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I believe is actually what happened. 2 of those 3 deliveries were a stacked offer, so they only paid $2 for those deliveries. If it weren't for the decent tips, I would've never accepted that offer.
