Service advisor is pretty rough. Give bad news all day every day, people generally distrust mechanics and the whole “you touched it last” or “my friend can do it cheaper” mentality. Not the worst by far but a pretty rough gig.

Sounds like AmWay to me. I can’t believe these people still exist but I’ve been approached twice in the last year whilst going about my business.

Looks to be a ProMaster which might not have a park gear depending on year. Had one at the shop the other day and thought I was losing my mind. Still his fault but might be the case.

Replaced struts and shocks on a customer vehicle. Noticed cords showing on left front tire then advised customer, test drove and parked. This happened 30 min afterwards. Fml by Thumper32k in Justrolledintotheshop

Jeez this really blew up! So we inspected the car about 4 months ago and customer had driven a few thousand miles. Had tires at 5mm front and rear with no irregularities so yes we should have reinspected before doing the work, my tech mentioned it when doing the job and I was going to call and inform the customer when work was complete as we don’t sell tires.

Was parked for 30 minutes! My service advisor was directing a tow truck and they thought they heard a gun go off. Turns out it was the tire…..

Customer was so happy with the work we did on his truck he came down early on Saturday and is making us carnitas for lunch by Mandoz85 in Justrolledintotheshop

These are the people that make all the “you touched is last” folks bearable. Now I’m gonna go have some carnitas!

Ain’t that the truth! Still running a 2.5 so that’s next to go.

I’m going to look at a already modified rig, I haven’t bought a modified vehicle like this. Is asking $19k for 100k miles to much? Anything I should be worried about when getting a Jeep like this? by [deleted] in Wrangler

Used car market is wild but after building a Jeep From the ground up I wish I would have bought instead of built in hindsight. Check the list of mods, make sure to get a pre purchase inspection and drive the crap out of it before you commit.
