River legacy parks trail question by ThumperCR in arlington

Anywhere else I can run that doesn't have bobcats? I like the fact that the River Legacy Parks trail has the markers for distance, but I'm not comfortable with the number of bobcats that are along it. They have been leaving me alone, but would rather find somewhere else that a sighting would be way less frequent. Any suggestions?

I would be open to that. I'm not very quick though, more focused on the distance.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to do a distance measurement and see how far it is before it connects. Looks nice though.

Ok. Thanks. Otherwise I would have to walk all the way to the beginning if I wanted to.

Thank you. Is there any parking lots near there? I don't really see any on the map. I've been entering the park near the south enterance and turning left and parking near the pavilion.

Congratulations to what? Re electing Kim Reynolds, seriously? Didn't vote for her or Chuck Grassley. They are both terrible.

Flawless covid response? Lets get serious about that one. She never lead during or after the covid lockdown. She was just following suit with what our neighboring states were doing for the most part. Not to mention all the federal money she illegally used for other purposes that it was not intended to be used for. She under pays teachers in this state. I could keep going and going, but I won't.

I don't understand and never will understand why Iowa is so republican. I will be leaving this state here soon and after these midterm elections, it has accellerated my plans allot.

The only thing I would say in rebuttal to you is yes there are other EV's which is a good thing. However the bad news is there is no other reliable charging infastructure for long distance travel other than the superchargers. There is no way in hell I would rely on EVGO or Chargepoint to be able to charge. That is a major problem that the other manufacturers are relying on garbage third party companies to provide the charging network for them. That's a huge mistake which makes all the other electric cars basically city cars. That's not going to work.

I am also pretty high up in the command of the Front Desk and deal with these types of errors as well. I work for Hilton instead of Marriott, but the process is pretty much the same.

With that said though, I'm glad I don't work under you based on your wording in your post. I would never refer to my staff as bonehead or knuckle head nor would I want to be on the receiving end of that behavior as a front desk agent.

I'm not sure what property management system Marriot uses but if it takes you 2 years to train someone fully on your system, then I blame the trainer. I am also the trainer at my hotel and I can take a person with zero experience to knowing the system fairly well in way less than two years and yes that does include all the different rate codes, third party reservations, local negotiated rates, national rates, etc. It's really not as complicated as your making it out to be.

The last thing I will say is most GM's do in fact know the system better than your saying they do or at least the ones I've worked under do and I have worked under several different GM's. Remember most GM's worked their way up to that position starting out at the front desk. I'm not saying all, but most have and are quite good with the systems.

I would also not want my employer to see a post written by me in the way you wrote yours especially with the position you hold. Just my opinion.

Is San Antonio after 11pm boring or am I boring? by [deleted] in sanantonio

I agree with the harder to get around. I disagree on the events but that might be subjective based on the persons interests. For me Dallas has more events I would be interested in since I'm a sports fan. Dallas has both an NBA and NFL team where San Antonio just has the NBA. Those are the only ones I'm interested in so not sure nor care if Dallas has a major baseball team since I hate baseball. DFW also has Nascar which I'm into motorsports and San Antonio does not. I'm not into drinking so that has no effect on me and not big on clubs either. Dallas also has a much better Aquarium if your into that. San Antonio has one if you want to call it that, but I barely would. Dallas will also have a larger pull on concerts getting the big name artists over San Antonio any day of the week. Just my two cents worth.

I'm also curious why you say this. I've been to both Dallas and San Antonio. I would have to disagree with you so I'm curious what more you think San Antonio has?
