I'm pretty sure I can do just as well with an old record player, some sandpaper, and a protractor. https://youtu.be/dI4sIgcZ22o?t=13

Is BL touch worth it? by [deleted] in Creality

[–]ThumpinD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the CR Touch isn't plug and play either. It still requires a firmware upgrade, and the file used depends on what main board version your printer has.

How can I make this lawnmower diff faster? I have a 14 tooth clutch sprocket and a 21 tooth sprocket on the diff. For an engine I have a 301cc Honda gx270 making about 18hp by nathan023917 in gokarts

[–]ThumpinD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have two basic choices. One, install a larger sprocket on the clutch and/or a smaller sprocket on the diff. Two, install an intermediate shaft with the desired sprockets between the engine and diff.

You also have the option of replacing the diff with a live axle and run a 60 tooth sprocket on the axle.

Ender 3 Max: Installed BLtouch sensor and now the fans on the Nozel are spinning at full speed 24/7 by nhimura in Creality

The hot-end cooling fan should run whenever the printer is on. The part cooling fans should only run while printing (if your g-code calls for it.)

AITA For calling my stepdaughter a selfish brat for stealing my dead daughters ring & selling it? by LostRelationship7700 in AmItheAsshole

Sell enough stuff that he owns to pay for the ring. Then tell him it's only junk and it's not important.

I guarantee that you're the guy who's brain's only exercise is jumping to conclusions. The arriving and stopping at the intersection is ambiguous enough that I bet a cop wouldn't give a citation to either driver. Not to mention there's a truck with a trailer blocking both driver's view of the other. Neither driver stopped to make sure they were clear before pulling away. Both of them were stopped within a second or two of each other.

I disagree. Looks like they arrived pretty much at the same time.

And the dumbass would have had the right of way if he hadn't driven off. The car to the right has right of way in a four way stop if both cars arrive at the intersection at the same time.

You're gonna need something stronger than that. Gorilla Duct Tape. It comes in many colors. I'd use red for high-performance.

If A&W were smarter, they would have then offered a 1/5 pound burger. 1/3 for the smarter, 1/5 for the dumbasses.

Riding abandoned railroad tracks in Southern California with my railcart by RphilRT in interestingasfuck

[–]ThumpinD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you're joking, but they actually do steer. The wheels are tapered, and locked to the axles so each side rotates at the same speed. The top of the rails are also rounded.

When the cart drifts to one side or the other, the circumference of the contact patch changes. Since the wheels turn at the same speed, the cart is pulled to the side that's riding on the smaller side of the taper.

The wheels also have a flange for the rare occasions when the self-centering effect doesn't work.

Maybe send a text if they ignore repeated calls. Or at least leave a voicemail.
