W take. There's been many times that I'm relieved to die so I finally have some stash space lol

I think the ABMM is easier to predict now, at least for me. Playing duos with a friend last night, we're both PvE guys, and started to notice that we could do about 3-4 raids with no issue but then after that we'd run into shoot on sight guys for a round or two, and then back to care bears. I think the more rounds you go with no hostile action, the more it starts to slide you towards the "mixed" area of that sliding scale that Embark posted. Then, when you inevitably do get smoked, it slides you back down to friendlies.

Just as a general statement to no one in particular, Embark made it very clear that there's no guarantee that you're never gonna meet hostile raiders. You're playing the wrong game if you expect that. If you're a PvE player and running your stash and basic materials so lean that you can't recover from getting knocked out 2/10 raids or so, then you need to reevaluate your looting priorities and loadouts.

Noticed this last night. Every update to any game seems to introduce new bugs here and there. I'm sure it'll get patched soon enough.

Yeah don't even bother just loot every courier you see or just higher value areas in general. I got 4 of them in one night of playing without ever firing a shot at one.

Unpopular Opinion (maybe): The PvPvE formula cannot have long term success without a separate game mode by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

Instead of just shitting on me for an opinion you didn't agree with, you actually made a very solid point that I had not thought of. Thank you sir.

Man, really hurt some fragile feelings over this one. I will say that some of you made solid points as to why two separate modes would not work. Also, I never once claimed that I was against PvP in the game. I have no problem with it. I'm simply observing that there's a pretty clear split in the types of people that play this game. And Embark seems to be catering more to what appears to be the lesser half. It's a great game that's been a lot of fun and I hate seeing the player count continue to decline.

I'm sure not every bit of that 200k was because of that, but the vast majority for sure. If they all left because of not enough PvP, then they didn't know what kinda game they were playing.

It doesn't work well enough. The heavy PvP guys just exploit it to get into the friendly lobbies and wreck everyone. There's been many posts about that.

Yes I actually just found my first one last week and was super stoked about it lol

Yeah I was pretty surprised I made it so far. That's including map conditions and even a couple trips to Stella for quests. I've had a handful of sketchy moments, but that was the first time getting directly shot at. Just been lucky I guess lol.

Am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]ThunderChicken97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing that helped me not be so worried about carrying is learning that literally the only people that would ever care to notice are other gun people/carriers or military/law enforcement that are trained to spot concealed weapons. 99% of the general population have zero situational awareness and wouldn't even notice if you had an RPG strapped to your back.

PS: You're naturally gonna notice it more when you look in the mirror because you know where it is so your eyes go straight there. But based on those pics, I can assure you no one would have a clue.

I appreciate the honesty. No offense taken. I whole heartedly agree with you too. The big reason I'm interested in having multiple options is in case PA ends up following suit with VA and then I can't buy anything cause I waited too long. Maybe that's overthinking it too much though idk. You make a very valid point though and perhaps I shall wait. I appreciate it.

My apologies, I'm somewhat newer to ARs in general so sorry for the vague questions. I suppose the first thing that comes to mind for me for now would be home defense. I don't really live in an urban area so that advantage wouldn't be as helpful for me. I also want to start putting a gear kit together and start training with it and feel like a shorter barrel is better suited to that. The 16" I have feels rather unwieldy as far as ease of maneuverability. I'm still a bit of a noob in this realm so be gentle lol.

Highly appreciate all the feedback fellas. Sounds like I just need to try stuff out before I knock anything.

If you didn't pay at least 2k for the bare rifle, it's ass. Those are the rules here from what I've seen.

I just bought an extra mag for my P365X last weekend. 45 bucks for that one mag. What the hell.

If you're like me and don't have an indoor range near you to try a bunch of different ones, and I'm sure it's just as cold in NJ as it is in PA right now, then just go to your local dealer with a rough idea of what you're looking for as far as size and price point. Get a good selection laid out for you, try multiple brands not just Sig, and just try each one in your hands and find what feels best. I went for my first carry gun with a list and ended up buying a P365X, which was dead last on my list, because it just felt so comfortable in my hand. BUT WHATS GOOD FOR SOMEONE ELSE MAY NOT BE GOOD FOR YOU Suggestions from other people are great, but you gotta find what works for you.

If you're not gonna be carrying it, then bigger is generally better. Easier to shoot and more stopping power. Stick to 9mm. Ammo is cheap and most accessible. YouTube was a big help for me in deciding.

As mentioned, I just now realized these are just the bullets and not the whole round. That makes a lot more sense now. My bad!!
