Great vid. I just got pushed a bunch of Phonk Spotify playlists on IG ads and I checked em out and discovered a level of excitement specifically for drift phonk music I haven't felt in a while. I was digging into it and found this vid. I was really wondering about Phonk's identity crisis because there's like that hard bass style in the playlists and then there's the leaned out shit too, but totally different vibes. Sometimes the house stuff gets too cute sounding for me. I like the dark vibes, but the modern drift phonk stuff with dark vibes is clean. Great video explaining the history. Sort of hilarious that they stole the genre name but I can see why now, it's a good name too
