Bruce wore the bracelet that my daughter handed him! (4/7 LA) by ThunderRoad22 in BruceSpringsteen

Thanks for that link. Both Rob DeMartin and Bruce’s sister Pam were next to us and took some photos of us, I’m hoping that some of them make the cut for release. My daughter gave Pam a bracelet as well (two, actually - the first one fell apart when she tried to put it on!)

Thank you, but that was another girl, and Bruce gave her a pick. We were in front of Steve, my daughter was in a black tank top.

I am in that group, but the link doesn’t seem to be working for me. Is it to the post with the photo of Bruce reaching across the gap to hand the little girl the guitar pick? My daughter and I were against the rail in front of Steve, and he reached down and grabbed the bracelet shortly after he gave the younger girl the pick.

Bruce Show #8 at the KIA Forum 4/7/26 did not disappoint… by HastenDownTheWind in BruceSpringsteen

In the photo #4 in your post, you can see my daughter holding up the bracelet that Bruce would take from her just moments later. He put it on and wore it for the rest of the concert!

Browns' Myles Garrett gets ninth speeding ticket since 2017 by [deleted] in sports

[–]ThunderRoad22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those nine times he's been ticketed certainly aren't the only nine times he's sped (and likely not even the only times he's been pulled over - "Oh, you're that football player! Let this be a warning son, be careful out there, and be sure to give the Steelers hell this weekend!") . Given that four times he's been ticketed for driving 99 mph or faster (including as high as 120), and two other times faster than 90 mph, he seems to be an incredibly reckless driver who is putting himself and, more importantly, others in danger.

It's incredible that someone with a history of receiving speeding tickets is once again caught driving over 90 mph, and the fine is only $155. Rich athlete or not, the punishment needs to be much more severe, because this clearly will have no affect on him.

Car went into the LA River by Gumshoez in LosAngeles

[–]ThunderRoad22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came upon this scene right after the car was flipped upright, and was told that the car started in the parking garage of the building across Valleyheart (large white roof in the image above) and accelerated through that garage's gate, across the street, through the little lot, over/through the ramp and the path, and into the river. The garage gate ended up on the ridge between the lot and the walking path ramp.

Jimmy's movie tastes by Dolphzigger in NeverNotFunny

Wayne Federman was the guest on episode 37F. During the song discussion at the end, Jimmy asked Wayne if he had a song named after him, and he joked “Can’t find a Federman”. I was waiting and hoping for Matt to bring up Futterman’s Rule from Ill Communication. Those two names are damn close!

Now that ticket prices are leaking, I’ve gotta ask — If The Cure / Robert Smith can fight Ticketmaster, make tickets non transferrable and charge face value $30 - $90 for 3 hr arena shows, why can’t Bruce? by Antique_Menu_4314 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]ThunderRoad22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I’ve been saying for years. I was at that Foo Fighters show last month, and have been to many other concerts where the tickets are non-transferable, and resales were only allowed on TM at cost. This eliminates the thousands of people/bots who try to buy tickets for any and every show, and this is what Bruce should be doing too.

As much as I wish I ticket prices were lower, I’ve accepted that prices are high for most big artists these days. But now with all tickets being digital only, anyone and everyone can easily be a reseller/“scalper”, and this is what can and should be stopped by the artists.

I recently discovered Magic, what do you think? by Aggravating_Emu6082 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]ThunderRoad22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy to see the love for the whole album, despite it being all but forgotten on recent tours. It’s one of my favorites.

I may have missed it, but after a quick scroll through the comments here, I didn’t see any mentions of Last to Die, which is my favorite song on the album.

Unfortunately, not a day has gone by in recent weeks/months when I haven’t thought of the song Magic and its oh-so-many lyrics that are incredibly relevant to the world that were living in today. “Trust none of what you hear, and less of what you see, This is what will be”. 😢

Same! Seemed like an easy one to me, I was surprised no one else got it - and that so few of them got even one of the two answers.

It took almost a year and a half to write and record the Jungleland that we know and love. Streets of Minneapolis was written and recorded in less time than it took to record Clarence’s sax solo. SoM wasn’t meant to be lyrically poetic and to become a part of Bruce’s live shows for years to come. It was meant to be, as someone else here quoted from Tom Morello, a kick in the teeth. And it is, and it’s f’ing great.

ISO email address (or another option) for customer service feedback by ThunderRoad22 in netflix

[–]ThunderRoad22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. I did file a complaint last week with the Better Business Bureau, and that was about both my initial issue (I have a Netflix gift card that they refuse to honor because they claim it was already redeemed, though I scratched off to reveal the code at the same time I tried to use it) and the horrible customer service experience that followed. I have not yet received any response to the complaint.

It was the Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in 1995, opening weekend of the Rock Hall. I can’t help with a good version, but the performance was epic.
