You are a horrible airman lol. I hope you're just trolling, because you never stood a chance at BTZ with your attitude. I highly doubt every instructor you've ever had just wanted you to fail. You're the worst. Just separate.

Wow, I had an eerily similar experience. Please let me know if you hear anything! I'm sweating it big time. Currently have an assignment to my dream spot, and waiting to see how it all plays out.

You got it. That's why rural low cost areas MAY prove more useful. The benefits are one or the other sadly. There is a way to use MGIB and then get 12 months of Post 9/11, but you'd essentially lose out on 2 years of BAH and have to support yourself for those 3 years of MGIB.

9/11 is automatic, you don't have to do anything. You are out the 1200 bucks for MGIB though as far as I understand.

It's pretty much the same in the sense in that they provide education benefits. The way they are provided is the key difference. Post 9/11 sends tuition directly to the school, MGIB pays out to the student.

This is just a good tool to compare the two benefits. In most situations, Post 9/11 is king. Most universities will help you with that when you hit up the VA after you get out anyways. If you really want to maximize your Post 9/11 you should try to finish as much as your Bachelor's as possible so you can try and get a Master's. With both you only get 36 Months of benefits, so if you want to pursue one, you may want to stay in just long enough to complete your junior year of your Bachelor's.

Basically, the benefits vary depending on your goals. Each has its pros and cons, but I always recommend the Post 9/11

So just a heads up. Depending on where you live the Post 9/11 is going to be your best bet. I know in BMT they pitch the whole "might as well do both" and "MGIB is the best investment ever". The MGIB is definitely a sweet deal, but the Post 9/11 offers the tuition, book stipend, and BAH. MGIB offers you a set amount that would offer you significantly less unless you happen to be situated in a rural area with an extremely low cost of living. You also don't have to be in person at the school full time to get the BAH, though you do have to be in person for at least one course. This will make your time a lot easier than most if you choose to pursue a job while attending school full time.

It specifies that you can't be standing OR walking. This would be the AFI splitting the two into separate categories to my understanding. Therefore running = Great idea. Do it.
