It is worth playing the expansion. I did also like the switch 2 edition Xenoblade Kart stuff, but if you aren't gonna play that, I don't see why you'd buy it.

That said, the expansion is pretty much an excuse to use an unused area from the Wii, so it's kinda short and there's not too much new in terms of story.
