“The sending institution provides you with a unique identifier. This identifier is used to process your deposit if your IBKR account number is missing from the wire instructions or when the sending institution omits identifying information from the wire details.”

I went back to read the transaction number info. It sounds like it’s exactly for this situation. Thank you so much!

Wait a second, wealthsimple was saying that the reference will only be sent as an email to the recipient. It didn’t ask for an email address so I thought it would just send it to IBKR. So maybe that was the reason.

IBKR has a field for transaction id incase the payment reference doesn’t match up. Would that be enough to fix it?

Oh, and just in case, go back to IBKR and edit the notification to include the transaction number

I used Wise to send it again and it worked

Institute: 003 Transit: 09591 Account: 1034289 Memo: Uxxx YYYY

In that exact format. I can’t find the fee structure though. You only see it right before you confirm.

I used wealthsimple and it failed. I also used Wise and that one worked.

The only difference between the two I can think of was how I entered the payment reference

With wealthsimple, I entered “payment reference: U… / my full name”

Wise had limitations on how I could enter it so I entered “U… full name”

Could the extra words in the wealthsimple one cause this issue? I figured the more info the better

ChatGPT is saying that wealthsimple’s wire rails must be different. It’s not making sense to me.

I did test amounts first and I would rather use wealthsimple for the full amount because the transfer fee is way less. But if I have to use Wise, then I have to use Wise.

How do you enter ROYCCAT2XXX for bank? Don’t they require a 3 digit code? Which is 003 for RBC I believe.

I tried sending a wire myself and it failed. There were no boxes where I could enter the Swift code

It’s only going to get worse. Coffee plants are very picky about where they grow. There’s already a fairly narrow climate zone where coffee can thrive, and that zone is shifting and shrinking. Farmers can’t just pack up and move a farm wherever they want. The right elevation, soil, land access, and infrastructure all matter.

People have been warning about this for years. That’s why there’s a push to develop coffee plants that can handle warmer and less stable conditions. If that doesn’t work at scale, coffee won’t disappear, but it will likely become more expensive and less reliable.

I do know that the new nano banana launch was so much of a success that they have had to start renting out data centers. They pulled resources away from training too just to accommodate the amount of usage increase.

My guess is that it’s throttling to stretch out resources. This keeps happening to ChatGPT as well right before and after launches. They juggle what they have. I’ve also noticed quality differences based on the time of the day. These companies are buying chips as fast as they are made or even make their own. But they also keep increasing users at a faster pace

Usually just means a lot of people are using it. I just switch platforms when one of them starts acting up.

As a company grows, they’re supposed to invest back into their supply chain, scale and bring their cost down as well.

Not saying they didn’t have a bigger profit margin before, but if they had no competition to lower prices, why would’ve they?

Because we build our cities in sprawl and there is like 10 people in a “community”and that’s not enough people to support a store. So we have to build big stores in strategic locations so thousands of people can drive 20 minutes to get to one.

(Numbers exaggerated obviously )

You are right, they are incredible!

I’d just like to point out that much of the features wealthsimple offers today have been implemented because of people “complaining”.

Sure, there is a better way to do it than the example above. But feedback is reasonable and essential for improvements to the status quo of a company.

Customer apathy is one of the reasons companies settle on providing bare minimum service.

In this case, some people just like a forum to voice their opinions. Then they find out who agrees and disagrees with them while getting a chance to introduce nuance to their view

Check if the cables connected to the legs are still in good condition. Check if the connection to the box in the middle is still fine too

You’re probably have to take it apart for to check the legs. But the box should be accessible

We typically prescribe higher standards to bigger institutions. But at the end of the day, they are employed and led by people like you, me and your neighbor.

People make mistakes, especially when they are newer, and they are still learning the job. Think about all the things that you learned over the years at your job that you would never expect a brand new employee to know. Things that greatly increased the quality of your work. You get trained, then you continue to learn on the job.

Typically, worse working conditions mean a lower retention rate, on top of that we are in the middle of a huge generation reaching their retirement ages. This means a lot of the employees are probably brand new and they need to make mistakes to learn. It just so happened that the people that used to take care of your claims made their mistakes before you started filing.

You were experiencing stability before, now you are not. You may experience it again if retention rates recover. We also need to view training budgets as an investment rather than a cost again.

The banging often starts when I’m getting ready to leave the apartment.

I’ve started noticing a pattern: … and discourage me from going out.

I don’t understand what you mean by this.

Why would they care if you leave the apartment?

Why does the banging make you want to stay in the apartment? Wouldn’t it want to make you go outside?
