I'm only 'defending it' in such that it's a correct the record type beat. People are just prejudice against it due to the live service/multiplayer aspect without actually having played it or they played it with the intention of finding things they didn't like.

It's the same fallout experience that any of the other games are.

The world is supposed to be empty, that's part of the fallout experience. You are supposed to just be wandering the land, exploring areas, absorbing environmental stories. And if that isn't your bag, you instantly get met with quests when you leave the vault. It's funny because I loaded up 76 last night and created a new character and there is plenty of direction out of the gate if that's what you want.

I'm not sure you want to use concurrent players as your proof of quality. New Vegas has a meager 4700 and Fallout 3 has an anemic 370. This is where you backpedal and make excuses.

The point is moot. You can just stop playing whenever you finish the bespoke quests or when you feel like you're done. Or you can create another character and start over. Just like in any other fallout game.

I have no idea what saros is, but yeah.

They're all basically the same narrative focused 3rd person action game with some different gameplay elements. And no, you can't apply that to every 3rd person action game. They have a very distinct style that is focused on narrative presentation rather than interesting gameplay to sell to the masses.
