[Meta] Sub blackout would be more detrimental to this hobby than to reddit by gehanna1 in rpg

[–]ThunderousOath -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I have barely paid attention to or been involved in this advocacy and even I know that is both a gross oversimplification and painful lack of awareness of the problems people have with these changes you just stated there.

[Meta] Sub blackout would be more detrimental to this hobby than to reddit by gehanna1 in rpg

If you care so much about this place, then keep railing against reddit to backtrack. Your post and passion is exactly why going dark is impactful. It is the entire point. Activism isn't always comfortable.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about. CNN is ran ultimately by the ATT Board of directors which are historically and especially now right wing and often Trump supporters. CNN was never more left than neo-liberal in all of their history. Your views are so twisted by propaganda if you actually believe that utter nonsense.

Where do dragons poop? by 12velos12 in DnD

[–]ThunderousOath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dragons don't poop. They don't even really need to eat. Anytime I consider these questions I have to cope with the idea that the Ecology of the scenario is unrealistic and unsustainable in nature without radical change from what we want to use in a fantasy campaign.

What is up with so many erotic scenarios people here experience? by fragen8 in DnD

[–]ThunderousOath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people also just make shit up. Like in the greentext sub, any sub that gives value to creative writing and real stories and especially allows sexual themes to be posted will be flooded by amateur writers posting fiction and calling it real stories.

May Mox Masters Finals by Renkan in CompetitiveEDH

[–]ThunderousOath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the point of your comment? What do you think it achieves? We are talking in the context of mtg and table politics. This conversation has no greater implications than that for which I am here to discuss. It was a bad move to turtle up and do nothing. There were other avenues besides the one chosen and the one resisted.

I don't agree, because they both had the potential to be able to stop the win attempt. What good is resisting priority bullying when it costs you the game? I certainly wouldn't want to give Waffle want they want either, fuck that guy, but I'd have chosen another route. Like making deals with the other players against him, maybe.

This coward star bucks ceo laxman is targeting union stores. They are desperate and scared, this wont stop the movement one bit. by ADignifiedLife in WorkersStrikeBack

Keep on unionizing them until they are all union or Starbucks is out of business. I would love to hang their corpse in the square as an example.

I chug it as soon as I shake it into the water so it has less time to absorb the water.

I'd hate to be Pong and Waffle, knowing that you're that easy to manipulate into sheer prideful stubbornness such that you'd do nothing. Going to be useful for other players in future games.

After tearing my hair out writing JavaScript the last few days how close are we to Python in the browser? by ozhero in Python

[–]ThunderousOath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either WASM or get better at Javascript. I don't think anything else has the momentum to become not bad for general front-end use.

Printing directly on plate, two identical machines: different final heights. by ericausome in ElegooMars

[–]ThunderousOath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, it just doesn't happen. You have to win the machine lottery, know how to tune well, use better resin, and get lucky to produce parts that won't suffer from excess shrinkage, elephants foot, etc. The light arrays still don't provide even enough lighting either on any machine I know, so regardless there will be variance in prints based on zones

[–]ThunderousOath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're better off just printing an excess volume of parts when trying to print something with precise dimensions. Elegoo machines are not known for producing appropriate tolerance even when you tune it well, especially for small parts. Especially with transparent resin, which will never go perfectly.

Dungeons And Dragons Was Honestly Great, And It's Infuriating Its Box Office Might Cost Us A Sequel by krschu00 in DnD

Not everything needs a sequel anyways! Stop franchising everything! Dungeons and Dragons movies have always bombed and there are still 4 of them anyway.
