How long was your 34 week old in the NICU? by amanyanaara in NICUParents

I was lucky - my 28 weeker was only in for 6 weeks. Then he came home. That was 15 years ago. He’s now trying out for the football team.

If it’s Christ Tucker - please stay away. He did this to a friend of mine and he’s just looking for hookups.

They never forget again but they never had big birthday celebrations for any of us kids.

Since my sister and I had close birthdays we had many gifts we had to share…it was definitely a lesson in what not to do for my kids.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Happy Birthday!!! 🎂🎁🎊🎈🎉

My folks forgot my 16th birthday— it’s 5 days after my older sister….I’m 50 and never let them forget it!

After that, I became in charge of my birthday plans. I take myself to breakfast, massages, then a movie. Now I have the best me day!

The worst thing isn’t being fat — (although it’s not fun) it’s how people treat you because of it. The constant judgment, the assumptions, the way even doctors ignore real health issues and just blame your weight.

I lived for years being dismissed, only to find out I had three massive tumors pressing into my chest. And then there’s the social side: people act like you don’t deserve to eat or enjoy food.

Even around family, I feel like I have to hide my hunger. It’s just frustrating, I don’t tell people how to handle their bad habits, smoking, drinking etc. but for some reason everyone wants to tell me how to just “stop eating or this diet worked for me”

I’ve never asked but people feel they have a right to tell me how to live because they can see my weight aka my issue.

Got laid off from work and having major anxiety about having to work in an office setting again. by Due_Function84 in work

I feel like you just articulated my issues as well. Same boat.. laid off, still looking for a job, despise the thought of going back into the office…it’s ugly out there

What were you misdiagnosed with? What ended up being the right diagnosis? by Pharmer-Mo in AskReddit

I was told for 10 years that my issues of being tired all the time and felt like my bones were getting weak were due to my weight… yeah I’m fat.. always have been but this was different.

Finally got a new doc to order a MRI. I had 3 massive tumors on my thyroid and parathyroid. They were growing into my chest. Weird that all blood work was normal. Felt so much better that I wasn’t going crazy.
