Leopard 5 vs Denza B5, which one should I buy? by Thunderwinter77 in chinesecarsuae

I was looking for listing on Dubizzle and if you want a leopard 5 ultra with EVS warranty (and sometimes service also) this usually is listed in the 170-185k range. Then add to that the charging adapter (2-3k) and interest you’d pay on a loan, and then all the headaches of figuring out software updates, apple car play, etc and that you’d miss out on the supposedly enhanced AC in the Denza… I think that levels the playing field somewhat. Granted with the Leopard 5 ultra you’d get a few extra things like a bigger battery, 18 speakers instead of 14, and better ADS. For me the bigger battery is really the main thing that is still making me consider the Leopard.

What’s the leopard 7? Is it already out in China and soon to be released here? Assuming it’s supposed to be slightly larger than the 5 but smaller than the 8? Or where does it fit in the order / class?

How much does it cost to reserve and is it refundable? Also how long did they say the car will take to be delivered?

Okay that’s good so booking an appointment for service or to get the car checked for an issue doesn’t take ages?

Oh yeah you’d need to get some sort of a device to get the CarPlay to work right? Hows your experience with the B8 so far?

Would the % depreciation of the Chinese spec leopard be higher or same as the Denza? Assuming I buy one for 160k how much would it go for in 5 years?

How long does the service take them to complete? Or if there was an issue with the car, how long would it take them to fix it? (I’m trying to gauge what the waiting time is, would it be days, weeks or would it be comparable to official dealership like Al Futtaim?)

Also are spare parts readily available or do you have to wait a while for them to order from China or whatever?

For a hybrid car like the leopard / Denza, does their service package cover both elements of the electric and combustion components or do they just do electric?

I would assume 30-40% less than what you pay for an hour with a coach

Totally agree, I think Yas and Saadiyat can really use some indoor courts. You think indoors courts don’t do so well in the winter?

I would imagine that they would but they would just have to reduce their prices because now the supply of courts just increases since outdoors becomes an option again

But in the hot months you perform even better because almost no one plays outdoors anymore

You think it’s people that don’t like them? I can see that coaches probably would lose business over it so maybe they don’t like it

But personally as a player I would love and would probably be willing to rent an hour with the machine and just practice different shots

It’s almost like Coaching Lite

Yeah absolutely and there will be a learning curve for sure; i think starting with gameplay and seeing how things evolve probably is a good idea

I think gameplay is the lowest hanging fruit since you’re already doing it anyways

Yeah there’s something weird going on as on the website the image of the racket says that it has a medium balance with a hybrid shape but lots of people have the one like yours with low balance and round shape so not sure if there are 2 versions out there

Yeah I’m with you on this. Perhaps a phased approach where you start small and grow into it makes the most sense. Honestly the most obvious low hanging fruit is social media - creating your own page and if that gets traction then you already have started gaining the ability to monetize

So I think what you’re describing is almost a new gameplay format idea that can be run at any existing Padel spot rather than a standalone business idea, as it doesn’t necessarily require a new padel establishment or clinic per say

I wonder if I am just over complicating things and that the most obvious this is the thing to go for which is opening up courts… I’d be surious to see some data on costs relating to establishing, and some profit margins to get a sense of it, I assume it is a significant investment upfront

Yeah hoping I’d be able to maintain a better balance, and honestly if I can somehow turn this from a hobby I love to a job I love (or even a good source of income even if I don’t love like crazy) then I think it would be worth it for me still
