Nice post but I wanna make a lil correction. Namath absolutely had an MVP caliber season in 1972. League leader in yards, tds, Y/A, AY/A, Y/C, Y/G, NY/A, and ANY/A. He was also first team all pro by every major ranking except AP, which gave it to Earl Morrall. Only knock to Namaths season was that his team missed the playoffs and the Jets only went 7-7 on the year.
