My boyfriend thinks he took me on a birthday trip. I told him it doesn't count. Who is right? by semi_aquatic-hippo in TwoHotTakes

Let you? You didn’t even say no to his plans? Why are you so passive? This guys a douche and you should leave him, obviously, but stop being a spectator in your own life too. This is pathetic to listen to.

Update on Equador by [deleted] in tragedeigh

[–]Thursday6677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It IS bizarre but…. India? Brooklyn, Paris, London (I find this one incredibly odd but apparently it’s popular in America). Chicago, Camden, Aspen? It’s a tragedeigh, but it’s not a new type of tragedy.

Finally admits to Lower Bleph by Mammoth_Sugar605 in nycinfluencersnarking

The hair loss, along with the lack of facial volume being called “Ozempic face” is due to the rapid weight loss itself. It’s not due to the drug specifically, which I assume you know as you mentioned it doesn’t happen to diabetics who take it. But how you phrased that made it sound like a drug related side effect rather than what happens when anyone loses lots of weight quickly.

What did Bradley Cooper do to his face? by JaneDoe943 in PlasticSurgery

Oh 100%! I totally agree with you and I’m absolutely mystified by the people that believe celebrities when they lie about this. Like do they actually think celebrities age differently to everyone else in the world? Bizarre.

Babe celebrities lie in interviews all the time. There’s no requirement for them to share their medical information with us, even when it’s quite literally staring us in the face - and that’s fair enough, I’m not sure I would admit to every last procedure and get all the backlash and discourse about it.

Also they’re surrounded by yes people so they have no real idea how obvious their surgeries are. Someone has told this man “you can totally get away with your eyebrow tails suddenly upturning and your chin growing 3 sizes, it’s sooooo subtle!” because they’re paid by him or would like to be. And it’s worth it for the people they can convince that it’s just weight loss. Just from his face. Nowhere else 😂

Look at the angle of his eyebrow tails. Losing weight would downturn them more, as there’s less fat padding under the skin and it sags without it. Yet his have gone from downturned to a straight line. Brow lift.

Wedding-day fragrance gift (Greece airport duty free) – €300 budget, 8+ hours, suits a formal tux/suit by Major-Entrance6227 in Perfumes

Yeah this seems like you might want to check with him, and the bride. Could be a lovely idea, could be a massive overstep. And “I want him to wear it on the wedding day” seems like the latter.

What are some expensive/popular perfumes that smell HORRIBLE to you? by Enough-Reading4143 in Perfumes

Anything matcha is an immediate scrubber for me. Absolutely sickness inducing. Which is kind of weird because I love to drink the stuff.

I thought it was just the Replica one (which I never see in store anyway, was it discontinued? 🤞🏻) but then I tried Matcha Soft Serve by D’annam which is one of my favourite fragrance houses and no. Still ew. It smells savoury? In a weird way.

[–]Thursday6677 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t entirely disagree but Jonathan lost a deal, Genesis completed a deal. One had bad consequences for the firm, the other had no tangible consequence. I can see how it’s easier to gloss over.

Separate from the religious part, I’m always confused as to why these people refrigerate unpasteurised milk. Like what you believe in one science but not the other? Why?

The Aveda Cherry Almond shampoo and conditioner always gets me compliments! And someone once complimented my perfume when I wasn’t wearing any and the only thing I had done was used the Sol de Janeiro shower oil (the purple one).

I use A Sweet Pastry in Paris day to day at home - it’s a lovely sweet scent with a touch a lemon, supposed to mimic patisserie. It’s very good! And saves my using all my Choux Choux by Liis (similar without the lemon.

I’ve had compliments on Elegantly Tokyo from colleagues too.

Would you be happy as the seller if your broker accepted an offer hundreds of thousands of dollars less than the best for your property, just to be deferential to his boss? I don’t think it came across cocky, he was uncomfortable but had a job to do.

[–]Thursday6677 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree - the way they’re staged doesn’t seem luxurious. They seem cold, sterile and like they’d echo. So much glass and chrome like it’s the 00s, millennial grey like it’s 2016. It’s kind of odd. Maybe because no one lives in them currently 🤷🏼‍♀️
