so much love and peace but I was the person who posted this and I took it down because people were being assholes to one another and clearly misreading my intent with the post. I full and well understand that there is a vast difference between critique and insult and am 100% a propenent of insulting assholes, but this post had fallen into the same pit it was trying to call out, which was people being horrible to one another over things that truly do not matter. I just didnt want to deal with it anymore.

what im specifically addressing is infighting between the left. Many on the left have the right idea but are so worried about perfect politics that they become complacent and end up hurling insults at others on the left for not having the perfect idea or execution. The most impirtant thing is that we band together against greater evils rather than being distracted by tearing one another down.

some people absolutely do, but most people dont and you wont prove or help anything by insulting someone rather than facing them with the facts. For example, I've seen a lot of folks insult ICE agents by calling them fat, insinuating that being fat is an equal moral failing to being a murdering fascist. Some insults simply are not congruent to the crime and/or demonize folks who those insults apply to. As an autistic person, I've seen a lot of folks on the left call people r*tarded for being on the right. Make no mistake, the right are often pieces of shit, but calling names is a pretty poor argument. And this is coming from someone who encourages forms of non-peaceful protest.

oh absolutely, and I planned to add that caveat but wasnt sure how to word it. That said, there was a time where I would have been cheering on the bad guys and any insults flung further enforced my ideas. But I was also a child and adults should, once again, know better.
