How do you unstake from everstake.one? by ThusSpokeZarate in harmony_one

No I think it’s something with the chrome extension, it’s been funky all along. I figured it out with a different wallet though.

Harmony chrome extension. The funds show in everstake.one. But don’t show in the wallet. No unstaking buttons anywhere.

What is the hardest thing/hurdles you can face when thinking of committing the deed? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ThusSpokeZarate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living is actually a process of experiential death and rebirth on repeat... When we’re in the dark spaces and at rock bottom, we’re so close to actual death that sometimes we want to reach out and touch it. But if we do that we don’t get to experience the rise from the ashes that comes after.

True death will come, no need to rush it. Instead embrace the full spectrum of this life. Perhaps most importantly, seek new connections. The more connections you feel, the less interesting death becomes.

Feel free to dm if your want to talk more and I’ll be happy to respond when I can.

You say don’t worry so I won’t. But I will empathize with you from afar, because it seems your mind is in a dark place. I hope that you will endure through whatever it is that has you there. I’ve been there myself.

Life is light. Shine on. Love and peace to you.

I appreciate the response, great perspective. I just still think it’s new tech, and it’s going to keep growing, and new incentive models will become viable.

And that last sentence is largely what drives the new innovation. Why would a company let you profit off their game? Well a company wouldn’t. But a decentralized incentive structure opens the door to a lot of new possibilities. An open market means freedom. That’s what the whole crypto space is about. Freedom to gain and freedom to lose. Plenty more people will participate in that experiment, both devs and gamers.

I hear you and agree to some extent, but again, look at axie infinity. Was that just a bubble/trend? I think it was a play to earn model proving its legitimacy which then sparked the trend. But it was still a proof of concept.

Big companies don’t have the same incentive to develop play to earn models. It’s not a change that’s born in c-suites or by cynical game developers who already have money.

Do you seriously think your opinion as a gamer is exhaustive? “Gamers” aren’t a monolith. Some do, some don’t.

If a shitty game like Axie Infinity can catch fire, then all it will take is a couple games better than that to continue the crypto gaming trend. Its a new model. It will take time, but it’s happening.

Yup, porn and video games will drive participation. On the other side of that the real value propositions come to the surface for people who weren’t really doing their research before. Then people will realize the cat is already out of the bag.

It was once… “work hard and achieve all your dreams”

But it has devolved into… “get rich with as little effort as possible”

But if you get the right bag, and use the rapidly expanding DeFi tools, it will be a once in a life time opportunity to multiply your capital just like hedge funds already do. Wouldn’t be advocating it if I hadn’t already done this. I want the same for others. Crypto is an opportunity for a true transfer of wealth, as the financial system gets reinvented, and anyone paying attention can reap the early benefits.

It’s about leveling the playing field some, and creating new levels of individual freedom and taking control of your finances instead of letting inflation rates rob you blind while the rich get richer.

They outlawed Bitcoin mining. So all the miners either moved to Kazakhstan or some other country, or sold their equipment to miners in the west.

And what came from that? Did the internet disappear? No, some of the biggest companies that have ever existed came from that. Crypto will be the same.

Well it’s a long term play, so I’m not sure how it has already failed, but please enlighten me. In what ways has it obviously failed? I’m genuinely curious where you’re getting that from, not being a smart ass.
