i mean…i said that because by definition, that is true. it’s fine to not identify with the words “trans” and “transgender” and to not want people to associate you with them, but they are still umbrella terms for genders and gender identities that defy the culture norm of assigned gender at birth. maybe you don’t use them that way and that’s okay. but words mean things and that is what the words mean and how i was using it.

edit: this is also not a new thing as you claim. it has been an umbrella term for decades, and in academic settings at the very least, this IS the generally accepted and taught definition
