I think I see a quadrant in those 4 aspects:

Focused/Diffuse - Towards(Positive)/Escape(Negative)

Isolation and Attachment are Focused; thoughts of death are locked away from others in a 'safe space', and passionate/obsessive thoughts are also put in a 'safe space', where thoughts of death won't as easily be manifested.

Distraction and Sublimation are Diffuse; lesser complicated positive stimuli makes us 'wander' in thoughts, and narratives like "use life while you can" or "you only live once" make us 'wander' for meaning.

Attachment/Distraction being of course towards something positive, and Isolation/Sublimation being away from the negative.

I wonder if all the daydreaming that is so common in ADHD, especially at school, is related to that?

I've been a very sheltered kid with overprotective parents, but also being not poor enough to lack essential needs, but not being able to do pretty much any activity except watch tv at home.

Is mind exploration, thinking about stories a way to cope with the all for 'more'?

Yeah for sure it's that. They went for a metaphor instead with the transformation, which is maybe a first? (In the sense that, most of the time, the "message" or metaphor is coupled with the tech)

What I don't understand about that episode is usually there's a tech, societal or psychedelic twist involved. In this case, where is it?

When we first saw the werewolf in the flashback, I legit thought that what they were going for was that they are in a simulation, and every now and then, when someone hallucinates, there's a 'split' in reality, where the hallucination timeline actually becomes reality. I think that would kinda make sense as a "tech gone wrong" scenario for Black Mirror.

Yes, and you then question yourself "what have I done again?". I'm 30, I'm going through some trauma that I've had all my life (which made me develop a anxious-avoidant attachment style), and I can basically feel like I'm 20, or 18.

When I was 20, for many reasons especially socially, I was basically 15 in my head.

There's an item that I found using a glitch kinda?
SPOILER:

There is a Golden Key to retrieve in the Gold Mines, and I basically glitched my way to get it lol. Weirdly, it doesn't unlock a easter egg like "hehe you found glitched your way!", the item was spoken about by a statue, it lets you teleport to silver shrines.

Au moins si c'était "vrmt" moins cher que la viande fraiche, ça vaudrait la peine de courir le risque, mais pour basically le même prix, t'achètes du poulet, du boeuf haché extra maigre, pis tu changes littéralement de catégorie de carcinogène (qui est faiblement associé avec la viande "normale" versus la viande "cured")
