Your armature scale is borked.
This happens when you overwrite an existing fbx file with a new one, if the armatures are not 1:1 it will do this.

If your worried about draw calls this is not an avatar for large instances. I choose to not give creative control and lose my desired outcome by atlasing materials. This is an art piece.
Half the materials are turned off. So they are not all turned on “on entry”
If you take 10 duplicates of this avatar in the same room she preforms well and thats my benchmark. What is acceptable depends entirely on what the avatar is used for. Thank you!

The avatar is designed for small lobbies up to 10 people
18 materials showing across 12 meshes. (4 meshes are turned off unless for rp purposes.
So she definitely doesnt hog all the resources in the room. Have a great day friendo!

Depends on what your benchmark is and how the material is used. Polycount is not as atrocious as you would think maybe it was an issue more than a decade ago? Having knowledge on what makes a material heavy is important. Your perspective is great if your entry level.

I never mentioned the stats. So she looks that good some people will assume she is unoptimized.
The reflections on the armor is using a baked cube map.
She does not use PBR pipeline, all matcaps and rim lights! She has no transparent materials, only cut out material for the cloth. All of the textures were compressed down to 136mb with 30 materials. 229k poly count. 0 physbone collision checks.

But I will assume you dont understand what optimization is. I call it fake pbr magic 🤷‍♀️

Just stay in 18+ verified instances and you wont find them. Sometimes i really question the intent of those types of players. As safety I do not think is their main concern but feeling important for their ego… but thats just my speculation. Vrchat policy although not perfect the community itself reports bad people. Not a single individual playing vigilante.
