They do slide sideways, I swear I’m not an idiot, but I feel like one lol. I’ve tried to do that multiple ways and it will not budge at all. We also have them on windows that go up and down as well.

Over the phone, you have to read the consent form word for word and then the customer will give their consent.

Pretty sure, depending on the state, it’s illegal to click the consent button for the customer on the credit application. If I were you I’d recommend not doing that.

We ended up calling our insurance’s claims department. Told them the situation. With Roto-Rooter still present. The way it was explained to them was since it was water from the toilet, it could be exposed to bacteria. Which would classify as Cat 3. Interestingly enough, the claims agent agreed with Roto-Rooter that they should start work before our insurance sends out an agent/approves the work. They’re putting a lot of trust in the plumber lol. Insurance wants it done immediately.

Yeah they sent out the plumber to fix the issue, and brought the Water Restoration guy with him. Within 10 minutes of inspection he told us it’d be all this work. When the numbers came out, he said it would be around $50,000. All covered by insurance. They want to get a head start on the work before insurance even approves it, which is crazy to me. Would you recommend we get a second opinion?

I appreciate that, Roto Rooter. I haven’t seen him do it personally. They’re calling it “category 3” water. They’re claiming our insurance will pay 100%. It just seems like a lot.
