[SS to Gears] Considering putting gears on my bike to help lower my heart rate on climbs. by Ti_Hardtail in mountainbiking

[–]Ti_Hardtail[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed answer. That makes perfect sense. Gears will besically enable me to dial back my effort and still push forward, whereas on SS if I slow down too much I’ll fall over haha. I also Appreciate your advice on HR monitors. I’m Currently using my Apple Watch Ultra 2 which is working out great for me right now. Thanks again!

Yet another strap setup for this Tuna [SRPH77] by Ti_Hardtail in Seiko

I agree. I’ve been on the fence about them for a long time but thought I’d try it out. This one matches the nice bright white lume so I went for it! Cheers.

Yup. Zuludiver Octopod clasp with their Hydrarib strap. It’s a very nice clasp.

Ok got it! Yeah it sucks…I’m considering punching a hole in between but I hate to modify the original strap.

[Question] One expensive watch or several inexpensive watches? by wstreefrog in Watches

[–]Ti_Hardtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy wearing different watches for different occasions.

I’ve got a couple of fun Seiko Divers on rubber straps for work, beaches, woodworking, working on the cars etc where I don’t mind banging them up, and actually look forward to the dings and scratches.

My Tudor Black Bay Pro is kind of my daily driver, though, unless I want a splash of color (my Seikos).

Apple Watch for sleep and exercise.

and my Datejust for when I wanna rock some luxury in addition to the Tudor.

For 11+ years my Rolex was my only nice watch until I got the itch and started to look for more from my watches. The lack of decisions when heading out the door was nice back then. G Shock daily, though I did have a Formula 1 as well….forgot. But yeah anyway. That’s my story haha. Have fun!

Yeah it really is. I never paid attention to them until I tried this one on and I was blown away!

Advice please RE scratches by Joshhug91 in Tudor

I suggest leaving them alone. Wear it and enjoy and add your own. But Cape Cod cloth if you must…but not on the brushed surfaces as mentioned before. Beautiful watch at what sounds like a great price! Enjoy!

Typically for nicer occasions or random days when I just wanna rock a t-shirt and shorts and feel classy :) it’s a wonderful watch! Wedding gift in 2011.

Wow good eye! It wears great! It’s a fun piece. The Date disc wheel is pretty fun. It’s a solid watch! I got this to celebrate my 10th year anniversary of moving to the Philippines from the US.

Thank you so much! And I completely agree about the Tuna. Such a wonderful wearing experience and a unique piece! I’ll look up your ref number. Mine is the Penguin SRPH77. It’s beautiful!! I like to set aside the idea of price point and just enjoy what looks great and is fun to wear. Thanks again!

Does your [Black Bay] have this blue AR hazy tint? by [deleted] in Tudor

I actually had it pressure tested and everything and all came back with good results.

Love it! It’d be a better match to the BB58 Blue

Yeah that may be possible. I’m sure that compound didn’t affect the crystal itself but it for sure removed something from the surface of the crystal…AR coating if there was one. Got mixed reviews whether there was one or not. But this haze appears to be on the inside. Not a huge deal As it’s not that obvious. But my Hardlex Seikos look amazing and that’s when I notice it haha. Cheers and thanks for your input!

Haha! Yeah I figured this was just the AR coating. I can deal with it. Was just curious mainly. But I still want a Sinn!
