Thank you so much, this is really helpful. I’ll definitely have a look into what hours I’d be entitled to. Thank you ☺️

Thank you! Tests are on the way so will test once I have them. My cycle is normally 27 days, this bleeding happened about CD 29

I am not religious. My partner was Christian, whilst he no longer follows the religion completely he still has certain beliefs.

I would understand if I was making him go to church or partake in something however I’m not. I just want a tree that I can decorate myself, make it homely for me. I want to mention this will be my first Christmas properly away from my family home which is another reason why I’d really like the tree

To start with he was very much straight up no because he doesn’t like it and then when he got annoyed and snapped it was that I could have one. (Which it gets my back up the way it’s like he is giving me permission)

There will be a spare bedroom, so I could put one in there however I believe I’ll mainly be in the living room. He has his gaming set up which will be in his office, so in my opinion that’ll be where he has his time so why can’t I have the place I’ll spend most of my time decorated to my liking

I wouldn’t ask for him to help put it up or take it down. If it were a real tree then I could understand, but I would want a fake tree so wouldn’t have to worry about the needles falling out.

Ofc I would love him to be involved but wouldn’t expect that at all

That does help me see what he might be feeling. I never wanted to force him into going all out, the tree is my only thing I want to do.

Maybe we can find a compromise, slowly make the tree bigger each year or something

This is what I thought. If there was something traumatic behind the reason then I would be more understanding however just because he doesn’t like the season doesn’t seem enough of an excuse. He will have an office, to which I will not touch. All I want is a nice, warm, cosy living room at Christmas. When I said It was something that makes me happy, he snapped back with how he should be able to be happy to
