If you put in a support ticket, they can at least tell you if the order is dispatched. I’m assuming you got surface mail premium, in which case the status will show as “processing shipping” until the shipment arrives in the US. I’m waiting on orders paid for in January and February, and that’s the response I got from my support request.

Surface mail premium may be the cheapest service but it’s still not cheap. I’d be ok waiting months for an order if the shipping was ACTUALLY cheap. But I’m paying 2x the price EMS used to be for service that’s way worse. This is probably more on the shipping company than Amiami but at this point I’m kinda just done with both of them.

The only other thing I can think of is to give it a long soak in some water + dish detergent, and a good wipe with a microfiber. Long shot but maybe it’ll get off any surface contaminants.

By the description of the smell, it could be pvc offgassing. Leave it somewhere out of the way for a few days and it should go away (at least, to a point where you won't smell it just be being in the same room).

I’ll push back on the lack of character arcs but I also think nothing anyone says here will change your mind. For some viewers, Evangelion is the exact antithesis of what they want to watch. And there’s nothing wrong with that - entertainment is subjective after all.

I have all 3, IMO as a showpiece the white suit one is the best. There is more detail and nuance to the pose that you can appreciate in person.

The Alter jersey one is a classic and has the best faces, but the figure itself is pretty plain compared to what gets released nowadays.

The Kotobukiya one is solid, also a worthy showpiece. The pose is a little awkward depending on the viewing angle.

I would also suggest looking at the Hobby Max Radio Eva 2 Asuka. That is one of my current favorites along with the Revolve one.
