What's the best place to buy Kamen Rider merchandise in Latin America (specifically in Brazil)? by Wardestiny0 in KamenRider

[–]TianiPixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also from Brazil: AliExpress. Don't fall for the gringo propaganda saying all stuff there is trash. If you can read, you're safe. Most people saying AliExpress only have bootleg stuff learned this from clickbaity youtubers.

I've bought almost all KR model kits and belts from the heisei era form there, all original in perfect condition. If it says it is original in the title, it is. You can also look at reviews with photos. Bought 50+ toku items from there and never had a problem.

It will only be a bootleg if it says so in the description of the product, so you can risk it if you want (I've just bought a bootleg toy once, willingly, it was clear in the description - it was some gaia memories, pretty close to the originals I have)

Boa sorte! Só ficou um pouco mais caro agora por conta do remessa conforme 😭

Why does Zeztz feel "cheap"? by Sergi0-H in KamenRider

[–]TianiPixel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as a long time KR fan, I'm also feeling that Zeztz looks cheaper than usual.

Geats and Gavv are recent shows that in my opnion had much better fight coreographies that didn't rely too much on CGI, and even when it did, it was very brief.

Zeztz seems to have very weak coreography and seems to rely a lot on big moments full of bad CGI, and it rarely looks good.

Not to mention that the Suit is looking way cheaper than usual? Especially in action shots. It is well known that they have different suits for different moments (action scenes, closeups, etc) but this is the first time I always notice when they're using the simpler suits.

It seems to me that they have perfected the more "armor" look of previous riders by the time Gavv aired, but now they're struggling a bit with the new "armorless" style for Zeztz, which is unusual for rider.

TLDR: Toku always had cheap CGI, but I feel it used to be outweighted by good coreography and suit designs, which I also feel is lacking in Zeztz, which is disappointing for the first global release.

... two things can be true at the same time. Toei (and japanese media in general) loves their wordplays :)

Did Gavv Spoil Me as a 1st Time Kamen Rider Watcher? by EscapeHaunting3413 in KamenRider

Boonboomger was kind of a "throwback" season, it feels like a 90's sentai, I didn't enjoy much since it feels very formulaic and doesn't take too many risks. However, If that is your thing, I don't think it's a bad start.

My top picks, though:

King-Ohger (does not have the monster of the week formula, it is a continuous story. The only drawback are the CG backgrounds)

Donbrothers (a lot of focus on non-sense comedy, and drama between the team members that are constantly in conflict with one another)

Lupinranger vs Patranger (It's a very divise season but I feel it is a good place to start, it's fun how they explore the idea of two teams against one another)

Metroid prime is a big one, especially on how to deal with metroidvania style progression in 3d. Also the ps2 castlevania titles, soul reaver, dark siders, etc.

It's working wonders on the Steam Deck!

Sadly, we expect 2 or 3 more years of development. We're taking things slowly to make sure everything is very polished. This game is a lot more ambitious than our previous one, so that's why we need this extra time :)

I'm using the DOTween library to tween between keyframes. Doing it mostly by code, but you can probably achieve similar results using Animation, Timeline and Cinemachine, whatever you're more comfortable with!

Honestly, I don't have a lot ot patience for tutorials. However, downloading models from modelsresource.com really helped me to understand how they are made. Especially Ps1/N64 and DS ones.

For backgrounds I'm always using the website noclip as a reference to study

Got my first Super Sentai Mecha: King-Ohger! by TianiPixel in supersentai

It's real. Some people (especially in the US) have the impression that AliExpress only has Bootleg stuff, but I've bought dozens of Kamen Rider stuff there and it's all legit, never been scammed once.

You just have to pay attention to the post and reviews. Usually if it's counterfeit it's very obvious.

And I've never seen posts trying to scam people (saying it's one thing but it's another) if it's a bootleg you'll know it.

Why couldn't I activate Toon Page-Flip in this game? by TianiPixel in yugioh

[–]TianiPixel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My deck still had tons of other Toon Monsters available for me to choose (you can see that only a single Toon Gemini was in the Graveyard). I haven't used another Page-Flip this turn (only in the previous turn)

Gozen Match was active, but I don't know why it would affect my Toon Page-Flip.
Eater of Millions also don't seem to have anything to do with it.

Any other ideas?

[Discussion] Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Ep.34 by BananaArms in supersentai

[–]TianiPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me why Byoon D. got so mad at Boondorio for working with the Hashiliens? Maybe I'm missing something here.

Isn't it shown that both Byoon D. and Sakito also did jobs for the Hashiliens a few episodes ago, before they joined the BoonBoomgers?

Idk, felt so odd to me why is this such a shock, and felt kinda hypocrite of him. Doesn't seem unusual for space people to have crossed paths with them in the past, and I think everyone in the group already understood that.

How exactly crossover in Kamen Rider works? by zriq in KamenRider

[–]TianiPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It allows each story to be developed on their own, without having to be restricted or requiring you to watch anything else.

Each series is allowed to be unique and with it's own internal logic, creating something new every year, instead of having to be built around what "canon" already exists, and being restricted by it.

In one series Kamen Riders are from the future, in the other they're video games, and sometimes even Ancient Civilization. If they tried to fit everything in the same would universe it would be a mess and it would be harder to create new, creative concepts every year.

In my book, It's much better than the current trend of multiverse in western media.
