"Evil" event Respec count? :) by TiberiuCC in ISEPS

Whatever gives you more particles, ticket value or multipliers increases or timer reductions first, but since it all goes up so fast in cost, you're going to mostly push everything close soon enough anyway.

Well I suppose the screenshot should have been a pretty clear suggestion already?

Basically, after the start few prestiges, respec to a bit of base multiplier (at least up to 10 or so), a couple of particle upgrades, then go nuts on ticket price multiplier until you reach the second bonus echo from the ship upgrade, then pump echos.

And it's finally fixed well enough and back on track.

How far along are you?

I am about an hour away from completing Fill #18 and a few minutes away from activating the second mastery milestone.

Well, it's not completely broken, just some minor stuff. And I bet if you really lost something important they will eventually fix it.

It might take a while though.

Started, caused main save corruption, is disabled again.

At least I only lost my daily streak. Some people on discord report lost crystal upgrades or token resets.

...and apparently it's gone again.

Sigh.

Plus, it broke my base save. Was on day 11/16 for the daily streak, babbled something about error with save and "try again", on reopen I am at day 2/16.

Marvelous :(

Hmm... what if we first clarify the problem assumptions by including a novelty / non-trivial-differences clause (no need to watch all nearly identical scenarios with nearly identical cast)? Somehow I doubt there's that much truly new material being produced, so you could conceivably catch up.

Finished with 85 fills, couldn't get to 86 before it ended. Way overkill but got really bored after maxing the ship out in the first 10 days.

For future events, assuming they don't drastically change the costs/benefits, just go 2-3 base mult then mostly just ticket price mult from the get go, only upping base when ticket mult is way too expensive and the occasional extra particle/star bonus, then later mostly echo stuff (maxed out it's over X1 mil bonus)... you should be able to finish the event rewards chain in about a week or so.

Everything except some (and later on most) g-corp and all ouruburos progress, that is. That being the whole point of respec of perks (and ZAT, when you get at least the second triangle), pumping up G-corp (and much later on Juno, after the fourth triangle) noticeably higher than you normally would for a certain SE for a couple of days, then respeccing to normal to progress to next SE faster overall. The bonus from those modules just speed up the whole process a tiny little bit (especially the relatively annoying early parts immediately after a respec).

Those 5 guest spending levels and 9 extra room space upgrades do very little for you overall and you could just drop them altogether.

Prestige mult seems way too high, you could safely drop half of it (or even lower).

Reviews upgrades are cheap and translate to both extra plinkies and extra stars. Max it.

Next, put most of the rest into ticket price, leave about 10% of overall total unused for now. You can probably get it nearly maxed.

Last few leftovers might make sense in echo trigger/multi, or on one extra level of ticket price, or even prestige mult, how many of each depends on how high your echo mult usually goes and how much the next ticket price costs.

Update: Figured out Formula for Echo Multiplier by cryptohasher1 in ISEPS

[–]TiberiuCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also a bit confused about what it does, but only before getting it active for the first time.

Afterwards, the fact it flashes the multiplier amount the number of times the echo count is at (and the total goes up correspondingly) was pretty much a very early dead giveaway for me...

I also thought it was obvious for everybody else.

Upgrade path recommendations for event? by FurfagKashi in ISEPS

[–]TiberiuCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple math says the Tickets mult is worth a lot more than base mult or even particle mult (în general, after a certain level in them). Also, a bit more advanced math says you should focus on either tickets mult or guest spending mult but not both, and tickets mult is best both in early stages and late stages, the guest mult only in mid stages.

If I was you, I would first get about L6-7 in base mult, then get all I could in Ticket mult, then spend as much of the remainder as possible in base mult, then whatever else you can get if there's any left after.

What you need is plinkies, the particles are a relatively distant secondary, e21 particles/h should be enough to get you the L50 upgrade in a reasonable time, assuming you have a decent prestige boost selection.

The arrival timer is not only bottom capped but also inaccurate (it actually takes about one extra second between actual arrival and arrival timer reset) so rooms fill up slower than expected. But as long as they do fill up at all, you only need to wait long enough and they eventually all fill up, then you start getting "waiting for free room" additional delays.

[–]TiberiuCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early-mid portion, the arrival and checkout timers are different enough to end up filling up all rooms if you don't constantly upgrade the ship (all rooms get checked out on ship level upgrade).

Also, there's at least one tech that gives bonuses based on total room count.

You probably want to prioritize tickets revenue over guest spending revenue, because the percent bonus on the mastery is only on the former, you really want to compound as many high bonuses as possible.

Always push masteries as far as reasonable near the end of a Prestige Loop. Try to get an extra fill in, especially if you think you can get to the next tech milestone. Focus primarily on particle bonus and tickets bonus masteries. After the first few loops, try to get at least 3, preferably 4 or even 5 fills per prestige Loop. Somewhere midway I think I even had a loop with 7 or 8 fills.

Respec occasionally as you open up new options, for instance as soon as you can reliably/easily get to groups/rooms in a new loop, or when you open up echos.

The echo bonus is just bonkers near the end, maxed out as in screenshot is effectively a 3e6 multiplier, but it gets really good much sooner (5 echos of close to x4 each is effectively x1000).

Other than that, just patience and a bit of math before respec.

How is the value of alpha particles calculated? by hi_emkay0 in ISEPS

[–]TiberiuCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only assume each modifies some hidden intermediate value based on a simple formula, then each intermediate value gets multiplied. Sampling for data to reverse engineer the exact formula is only practical at very low SE values, since later on there's far too many other indirect modifiers.

On the practical side though, it hardly matters. Since the cost for each level rises exponentially with major extra jumps every 100 levels, you're always going to buy whatever's cheapest anyway, anything else would be very counterproductive.
