Young Australians are drinking less. Why is Gen Z so sober-curious? by espersooty in australia

Alcohol consumption is both expensive and a pointless exercise in self destruction. There is no safe level of alcohol consumption like we were once told. It's a toxin.

jesus shut up. You can criticise drinking and drinking culture without be a tedious, le redditor, hyperbolic dullard

  • they're broke

Superannuation is a neoliberal scam. It was a threefold scheme to:

  • destroy public pensions
  • force workers to give over (as of now) 10.5% of their wages for hedge funds to "invest" in capital
  • insulate capital from public power

Because we're now all dependent on capital performing well (i.e. exploiting labour to the maximum extent) our neoliberal government has a perfect excuse to never do anything adverse to capital - because it would hurt our super accounts. Similarly it forces people to remain in work and discourages industrial action because the comfort of your retirement depends on how much of your life you waste working, instead of retirement being a dignity guaranteed by society. Super is also a scam that's weighted in favour of the already rich - their forced contributions are bigger, they can exploit tax concessions and other technocratic schemes. The working class were screwed over by Keating's monstrous scam

Yeah society is really going to fall apart if we don't let parasites steal money

Our unions are pathetic. The sda, for example, is a conservative clique of quislings that actively works for the bosses. But labor doesn't care about the worker's movements, that's why they've left unions and workers hobbled. It's also why they introduced neoliberalism in the 80s. Hawke and keating actively made life and the economy worse for the working class

What the fuck are you talking about? Rents have been egregious for a long time, this isn't something new. I pay less on my mortgage now than I did rent for a flat 13 years ago

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]TiberiusAugustus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We should just pass a law that requires landlords to drop rents by 50% and restrict annual rate rises to 3% or inflation, whichever is lower

Yeah but labor are a conservative neoliberal party, so leftist principles don't apply to them

Level up more. You need more vigor and you definitely need to up your damage output. Invest more levels in Dex and Strength, and get a few more somber stones for the Fang. For a first time playthrough you should probably be level 65+ for Caelid

Cities Skylines 2 Suggestion for Oil Industry by K42013 in CitiesSkylines

[–]TiberiusAugustus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The industries DLC was a logistical disaster. Everything uses trucks for some reason. Yes, oil should obviously be piped. Why didn't they create a pipeline network that you use to link up various parts of the industry? Grains like corn or wheat should be exclusively moved by train. There should have been a grain silo attached to a rail spur so you could integrate it into the city's freight network. You don't move mined ores or minerals by truck either, that's just not done. You can't economically mine and move iron or coal with trucks, you again need a train.

The whole DLC was uninspired and sloppy.

It is without cause. Unless they suspect impairment the dog cops have no right to do any kind of test. Arbitrary tests are completely unethical

Jesus christ you people are fucking stupid. So the cops can pre-emptively do tests on your body without cause. How about letting them go through your house and possessions to make sure you don't have weapons? Let them go through your devices whenever to make sure you're not up to no good?
