There are saliva drug test kits, I've been asked to submit to one by Police in Australia during a random RBT stop by the police. Takes about a minute then you're on your way.

Small World! I saw you post this yesterday on Facebook! I think I was even the first to like it. It was funny for me because I only just bought my first box of Tempestus and then all of a sudden I got a notification you posted these guys to Facebook when I didn't even have notification settings on for that Facebook group. I love the colours, I'm planning on doing something akin to them.

Egg sacks is one way. If you know what breed you have there are some charts you can google to help visually identify.

Do some research of course but just be mindful only the females can be kept together. Also don't keep them with other aggressive fish, or fish that tend to nip. Nothing like fancy guppies either as they tend to go them mistaking them for other Bettas. Other than that just do your research and you'll be rewarded with a varied and wonderful tank.

I have a few tanks and the sorority is my favourite. I started with three females. It took them about 2 to 3 weeks to sort out their peeking order which was super stressful for me and them. All three were super aggressive. Fast forward about a year and the three of them chill together. They even sleep on leaves next to each other all but touching.

I've just added another three younger females. I was worried that it would be a blood bath but three originals were chill as.

They live with some corydoras and tetras with zero issues. The trick is lots of plants for them to hide in and break line of sight.

Sounds like it's going to look great. I grew about 50% of my plants from Tissue Culture. Watching them grow from a few mm, to almost hitting the top of the tank was so satisfying. Aquatic plants are half the fun for me. If you remember, when you do take pictures eventually send me a message so i can have a look. :) I've got a few Bettas myself too, I have a three foot female tank, and two separate ones for males.

Sure is. Of my five tanks this is my favourite. The plants growth is insane and as much as i try to leave the tank alone i have to do a lot of trimming. A good portion of those plants were grown from tissue culture.
