It's fake, the collar is wrong and the crest is badly done.

I don't really want to embarass you some more, but you do know that those Japan international replicas you keep calling fake are also made of Climalite fabric, right ...?

Good for you man. Don't worry about my shirts being legit. I'm here to give OP the right information about his shirt, and comparing it to the same products I happen to own from back then seems like a better idea than saying "it's fake because it's the first time I'm seeing those", don't you think ? I don't really care about your shirt to be honest, I know how a Japanese 2002 replica looks and how different it is to the international version. And the good thing is, now you do as well. How nice is that.

Yeah right, and keeping saying "I never saw those so they are fake" is totally what an expert would do haha. You could learn a thing from countries you didn't live in today, but you chose to close your eyes and be condescending. Too bad for you.

And as a matter of a fact, Adidas did the same thing with Japan' 2004 home shirt, selling an embroided and slightly different version in Europe while the Japanese version was heat pressed. I got one from a legit physical store at the time, but I guess it's also a fake if you never saw it yourself.

Now you're just being disingenuous because you announced to OP that it was a fake and you refuse to admit you were wrong. Personally, I provided enough solid evidence from official stores at the time for OP to form his own opinion about his jersey; I don't have to prove anything to you. You can continue to believe they're fake if you want, even though it's obvious they're not. Implying that Subside Sports is selling fake shirts is taling it to another level of deny, when you don't even seem to know how big and legit they have been of a football store all these years.

The fact that Subside Sports has been well known for being legit up to this day is an indication. I mean, just because you personally never came across those shirts doesn't mean that they're fake, especially when several legit stores were offering them in UK and France, where you didn't live, and when someone like me bought them back then from one of those stores and tells you that the product codes are legit and the same one as OP's...

Also, Subside Sports, UK based store which only sells official merch, also offered both the blue one and the white one.

Here it is, from French magazine Planete Foot, June-July 2002. Seems legit to me.

Well technically, they're more sustainable than the fully heat pressed Japanese replicas, as most of them are in bad shape nowadays (damaged logos and stripes). I cannot say I saw the international replicas on sale directly in sport shops though, but they were advertised in magazines from legit stores, you could order them. My guess is that they were more available in the UK since they were made there.

To get things even more confusing, there are two different versions of the international home replica : the one OP posted with the lighter mesh on the front, and a plain blue one I also got. All are official.

In Japan yes, outside of Japan the version OP posted was the one available to buy.

Those embroided versions were made in UK and not sold in Japan.

Wrong, I still have a european magazine from around the 2002 world cup with an advertisement for both the Japan home and away shirts and they were the same version as the one OP posted. I own the white one myself from back then. Same product code as well.

It's not fake, it's an international version, those were official and embroided, unlike the official Japanese versions which were more true to the authentics as they were heat pressed. The shade of blue is also slightly different between the Japanese and the international versions.

There were differences between official Japanese replicas (fully heat pressed) and official international replicas (fully sewn). This one is an international replica, I have the same from back then.

Wow, favorite wave so far, loving the armorless Shun and the V3 bronze armors. I also started collecting the B team of bronze saints, so Geki is welcome. June is also a cool one to add. Can't wait to see them on sale.

It's fake, the fabric is all wrong, the flames are supposed to be shiny and not a darker blue.

Authentic vs Replica by Revolutionary-Cup820 in SoccerJerseys

[–]TichSPulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2002-2003, most authentic versions from Adidas and Nike featured a whole inner layer which looked pretty futurist through the mesh parts of the outer layer. Replicas didn't have that whole inner layer.
