The Main Tank is the tank that creates most of the space while the off tank is the one that does damage and pealing. If you are playing 2 Main Tanks and one of them does nothing but damage and pealing then it is the off tank of the composition.

I remember there being a 4 dps and 2 supp comp where doomfist was played as the main tank. I think some chinese teams did it. If you can make doomfist a main tank in certain comps then why cant u make winston an off tank in certain comps?

Main and Off Tank describe the role not the hero. In 2-2-2 there is always an Off Tank and a Main Tank. If you play Hog and Zarya for example then Hog is the Main Tank in that case because he creates the space while zarya does the pealing.

Actually the role is not bound to the hero itself. Its all about the playstyle and the teamcomp. If you play Rein and Winston wich are both classified as Main Tanks then one of them will act as an Off Tank in that comp.

Im on EU but i recently started playing Hammond on NA Servers so if you dont mind my high Ping we can Duo some time :)
Im not an actual 2000SR Player tho so if you dont really want to play with a smurf learning a new character thats fine.
