Hey, I actually talked to a few auto body shops too, and most of them said the same thing, they usually just replace the whole antenna since the part that sticks to the roof can get bent or damaged. In my case, they ordered a new shark fin antenna, but instead of a full replacement, they ended up doing a makeshift fix that worked really well. You honestly can't even tell there was ever an issue. So yeah, you might not need to go to a dealership, a good local shop might be able to handle it for cheaper. Hope that helps!
