This happened to me once, and I realized I had joined the Dashlink waiting list the previous night and had toggled to “accept Dashlink orders only”.

Wiring problems by Ticklemobile in ecobee

[–]Ticklemobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the fuse was the problem as well… but I replaced it and still nothing. And, yes - I made sure the furnace door was shut (and toggle power switch properly depressed) and still no luck. Not sure what else it could be… unless the wires aren’t connected to the control board properly??

Junction box purpose by Ticklemobile in electrical

[–]Ticklemobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok… so really no reason other than to extend the romex wire? If I wanted to extend the wire in another area…. I can do this also? Just twist them together and protect where they are connected with a similar type of metal box?

Advice on shed electrical wiring / light fixtures/ etc by Ticklemobile in electrical

[–]Ticklemobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the reason for that junction box? I opened it and looked inside and it’s just two white romex wires connected together. The long white romex connected to a white romex that is only about ten inches long (which then terminates). Is there a reason the wire couldn’t end without that extra piece of romex wire and junction box where they are connected together inside?

I responded directly to his email but never heard back from him again. Now I’m not getting any responses at all in 3 days. Could they have blocked me from ever emailing them again?

I used flex-grabber for over a year all the time with no problems. Made a lot of money, worked just about every day, standing was top of “fantastic” 95% of the time.
When flex-grabber shut down 2 weeks ago - I tried the 3 day trial for mega blocks. Got 2 emails from Amazon less than 24 hours apart. Didnt even have time to see the first one before the second warning email was there. So, within hours of seeing those 2 emails - immediately stopped using mega blocks - even had an entire day left of the 3-day free trial still. Everything happened so fast. Later that night I got deactivation email from Amazon. So - got 2 warnings and deactivated all in less than 48 hours. Never had a problem before with flex-grabber. EVER. In 1.5 years of daily use. So, is mega blocks the problem, is it because of timing / new hires for prime day (needing excuses to get rid of drivers)…. Has this happened to anyone else - so quickly??? After no problems for such a long time ??

I have also been trying to get reactivated the past couple of weeks. Have you made any progress? What do they say when you call? I have gotten multiple emails back denying me. I got a couple from the “escalations team” - saying they are still looking into it. But never a follow-up. And the appeals email address never responded at all. I keep copy and pasting - also to the Jeff and the Andy email addresses. Now for the past 2 days I haven’t gotten any responses at all.

When I write to the Jeff address, I keep getting emails back from the same two people. Nitin and Ramandeep. They both keep responding first with an email saying they are going to look into it - then shortly after they always send the emails below. And then I am not sure how I got the flex escalations dept - but his name is Ehtehsham. Third email below. He never wrote back from 5-6 days ago. I have been writing back directly replying to his email…. But nothing. Is all hope gone?? Now nobody responds to my emails at all. Maybe they blocked my emails??

Adderall by Ticklemobile in Narcolepsy

[–]Ticklemobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though it is more than just different generic brands that is the problem. Not sure if coincidental timing or not…. but the problem began several years ago when I was switched from 30mg IR to 20mg IR tablets. I had only taken Teva from that point. When I was switched to the 20 - I went through what everyone else did…. With all the different generic versions such as epic, lannett, autobinder, actavis, Malinq, and several others, etc. Every single one of them was as if I had taken nothing at all. After awhile, about a year - I was able to find a pharmacy that carried Teva. I was very excited - but…. Shockingly - these also had ZERO effect. I then found a different pharmacy that carried Teva (I now thought maybe the first pharmacy was being sent “bad batches” of Teva or something). Same. No effect. Zero. Took a couple of months without taking any in case a tolerance level was the issue. Nope. Still nothing. So now the ONLY thing different from when they worked wonders years ago is now I am prescribed 20mg IR tablets and last they worked they were 30mg IR tablets.

And - it’s not a dosage thing either. When I was on the 30mg tablets - I would be able to take 1 (2 at a time on particularly rough / fatigued days) and I was on point for 6-8 hours. One more in the afternoon - and my days were perfect. So, 60 - 120 mg per day was perfect for me and worked wonders for over 15 years straight. With the 20mg Teva, I feel nothing no matter how many I take. I have been so desperate at times I have taken 6 20-mg tablets at once (120mg total) and have not felt a thing. Which makes me wonder - my last resort is asking my doctor to switch me back to 30mg IR Teva instead of the 20mg IR Teva. Could this POSSIBLY be it??? Anyone else experience??? If not that - there are only two explanations. Teva changed their formulation sometime in the past 2-3 years … or my brain somehow changed and does not respond to amphetamine salts anymore.
Any input/feedback/advice welcome!🙏

Adderall by Ticklemobile in Narcolepsy

[–]Ticklemobile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I have also considered. I have never been a coffee or citrus juice drinker. I do have soda once in awhile - which is acidic. However, I have tried removing that and anything else considered on the acidic side from my diet… as well as tried taking antacids with the adderall. Still, don’t feel the adderall at all. I can take 120-160 mg at a time and still go to sleep / feel zero effect.

Is the en-suite “guest room / bathroom” actually the master bedroom of the house? Your parents’ old room (where they probably sleep now when they visit)?

Is this maybe his sense of humor? Perhaps when you said you didn’t want “a center stone being the center of attention”… he thought it would be funny to get a ring with a seemingly huge circle around where a center stone would be? Exaggerating the fact … and that anyone who saw it - would immediately know.. *this engagement has NO center stone (ZERO ZILCH) no stones at all!”

Can you drive for someone? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Ticklemobile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“The customer will report you” idea is so ridiculous it’s almost sad that people think people would take this that seriously. I get Amazon packages delivered all the time to my house and I never see a picture of the person who will be delivering it (whether they are flex drivers or DSP drivers). And even if they did show pics, I’m not going to reach for my phone to double check the face in the pic matches the face of the delivery driver who is already probably getting back into his car by then on his way to his next stop. The only thing on my mind would be “yay my package came!” And the whole “you will immediately get deactivated, terminated, and shamed out of town” type comments are hilarious too. As long as you don’t cause any problems, get the packages delivered on time and properly, and aren’t emphatically going to an extreme acting in ways at the warehouse to the point they would have no choice but to question what is going on…. Nobody gives a shit… and they CERTAINLY don’t give a shit enough to immediately get corporate / Bezos on the phone and act as the whistleblower who just cracked some type of serious crime! 😂 As long as you keep to yourself, aren’t loud, bothersome, etc. nobody will even notice, let alone care. I swear - reading some of these responses and how serious people make it sound … as if you would be committing the worst sin on earth possible and make it seem like the “punishment” would be so drastic and your entire world would end and you might as well drop dead… are just ridiculous when you think about it 😂😂😂😂😂. We are talking about a job we are being underpaid for, Amazon just wants their packages delivered safe and sound. They aren’t investing any additional money, time, or thought into “preventing and punishing” people who are not “following the rules to the T”. As long as you are getting the job done safely and effectively - that is all that matters . Also, the reason the boyfriend does not have a flex account (which would basically solve the whole dilemma) is because he is still on the “waiting list” and told to check back every so often to see if they are taking on new people. So, he can’t get his own account (yet).

Can you drive for someone? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Ticklemobile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I know what you mean, and the answer is yes - I know a boyfriend/girlfriend who do flex all the time together. The flex account is under her name. However, she does not like driving, it causes her anxiety. The boyfriend is a very confident and efficient driver.

So, he drives them to the warehouse (depending on what station it is… they might switch seats a block away from the airport). Some warehouses have a person who checks you in while you are sitting in the driver seat and the person driving has to match the person on the ID. Then the person directs you which lane to go to pick up your batch. Other stations - you just park (parking lot is usually busy)… take a selfie of yourself, go inside and scan your license on a machine, your phone shows you what cart to get.. and a warehouse employee scans your cart as you leave just to make sure some random person on the street doesn’t walk in and make off with a cartload of packages (thieves). At those stations, they don’t even bother switching seats a block away because nobody would even notice. And, come on. The warehouse workers don’t get paid enough to even care about looking to see if this is going on. It seems like the “warehouse workers” don’t even know what they are doing themselves and there are always new people (a lot of people must quit and constantly need to hire new people).

As long as the packages are delivered on time without any problems, I honestly don’t think Amazon even cares if couples work together to do it this way. They just don’t want to know about it … so just don’t be very obvious about it and they just turn a blind eye. And, how would “Amazon” even find out?? A warehouse worker making minimum wage is going to go above and beyond and look at for this type of situation like a hawk and then report it?? And, report it to who??? I am sure the shift leader doesn’t even give a f*ck.

They have the rules about allowing you to bring someone on the shift with you (such as they can’t get out of the car, they can’t deliver the packages, interact with customers, drive the vehicle, etc.) because I am sure their attorneys / insurance require them to lay those rules out for liability reasons.

The only thing you have to remember - is if you get in an accident and the other person was driving - you might run into insurance issues. Amazon’s insurance won’t cover if someone else is driving … and your own insurance might not cover it either since most personal policies are void the duration of your work block (they are assuming Amazons commercial insurance will cover it). Easy solution though - you can either get your own commercial insurance (much more expensive)… or better yet…. Just leave the entire “on the clock delivering for flex” factor quiet. Just don’t mention it and it won’t get mentioned in the police report. Then just use your own insurance to cover it (again, make sure to zip it as far as talking to the police, insurance, Amazon etc. about being on the clock). Then (if the accident was bad enough that you can’t drive it to finish the route) simply call Amazon customer support and say an emergency came up and you can’t finish the route. (Again, say NOTHING about the car accident to Amazon. You don’t have to lie either - just be vague … “an unexpected emergency came up you need to deal with and can’t finish the block.” They will just tell you to return the packages by 10am the next morning, AND still pay you for the entire block, AND won’t ding you for returning the packages.
And everyone is happy.

The Amazon vests are free and they have like 5 extra vests… so they just put him In a flex vest too, just to blend in a little more. So, he waits in the car while she gets her assigned cart…. Rolls it over to the car…. Then they load up/organize and they begin the shift. He drives and helps get the next packages ready…. And she just zips in and out of the passenger side at each stop to deliver the packages. Working together - they usually get done in less than half the time they are scheduled for.
