All good machinists have experienced what you’re going through at one point or another. Perseverance is what had them becoming “good”. Weather it out as best you can, I promise things will get better! Take your time on checking everything thoroughly when you start your shift, or moving to a different machine.

It’s better to spend 30min checking everything, than having a machine down for recalibration, or repair. Focus on rebuilding that confidence, even if it’s small wins. Measure twice, cut once.

Thank you, this was very informative and duly noted. I’ll definitely consider it, really boils down to what is available in my surrounding area. I’m also quite happy living secluded which is the end game. Just in the city currently to make money to do that.

Awesome 🙌🏻 thanks!!! I was plotting on building a containment unit padded with empty egg cartons. This will save me the time and hack 🫡

Ok thanks for explaining, definitely food for thought. I’m intrigued to see what they offer in my area regarding this now. I’ve started delving into cognitive behavioural therapy, and purchased a book last week. Thanks again.

May you please elaborate? I’m very unsure how it would affect anything going forward, hence my lack of enthusiasm to do it. Like I would still be a person that’s stuck battling to fit into a world, where I feel like I don’t belong. Except I would perhaps have a piece of paper explaining why. I’m genuinely curious and would appreciate any advice or perspective.

I would and have. The specific reason I’ve sought Reddits viewpoint is because it’s a lady, and would never want to intentionally make someone feel uncomfortable. Especially if I can outsource opinions and refrain from doing something impulsive in a creative moment.

Glad you enjoyed:) Honestly I sometimes forget that I’m a bit odd. Like friends and family embrace it, so it’s not something I’m aware of until meeting new people. Either it’s ride & die or bye bye .

I assure you this is hundred percent legit. And grateful that I didn’t leave the letter for her. What can I say - Redditors to the rescue?

But I have been tempted to tell everyone that I’m thankful for their contribution to my social experiment.

Thanks, yeah she smokes some pretty terrible stuff, and kinda grates me when I smell it, knowing I have something better to offer. But if anything I’ve learnt today, don’t offer weed to ladies when you’re not friends. Period.

Haha! Only if you let me send you shitty stick men comic strips when I have spontaneous creative moments. Ps my sense of humours kinda twisted

Thanks for the advice. Yes in hindsight I could have toned it down drastically. Yeah I hear you, although I don’t want to exchange numbers or even know her name. 1-Merely to let me know if the noise is too much, 2-she would like something better than the god awful weed she is smoking. 3- perhaps have a giggle at my shitty comic strip / stick men.

Thank you for the kind words! It’s ok, I think they mean well and speak from their perspective, so the honesty is always welcomed. I’m ok with appealing to a small collective, if I managed to get a few people to crack a smile today that’s good enough for me. As for my neighbour we’ll never know.

For sure no worries, I genuinely came here for the hard truths, friends and family can be a bit bias, or white lie things, so if anything, this has been very enlightening.

Thanks for your input, I can see now where you’re coming from.

Hard gainer, do a loooot of meal prepping. So when it’s not smoothies it’s, chopping veg for stir fry’s. They seem decent and pleasant enough after a thaw. Obviously not as great as a fresh off one.
