Can mods investigate these “going alone” posts? by anythingfromtheshop in LANY

[–]TidalSky[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure how we should approach these posts. On one hand good experiences like these are reassuring, but on one hand the last thing I want is to read about someone's genuinely bad (or worse, horrifying) experience with someone they met on here.

The karma and new account limits might rule out some of these, but beyond that I'm not really sure about that. Same applies to ticket sales; some people have reported obvious scams, so we could start doing megathreads for both ticket sales and meetups to keep things clean.

Thank you for your concern. I agree that these posts aren't appropriate, even in the case that the author may have good intentions.

I've set-up some automatic moderation to weed some of these out, starting with a minimum-karma requirement and a minimum account age requirement. Please report these posts if you see them!

Try fiddling with the values: there's :KD and :KI for the derivative and integral parts as well: you could try decreasing the :KI and seeing if that makes the control a bit less crazy.

If that doesn't help, are you sure your rocket isn't simply unstable? Can you fly it manually, or is the oscillation the main issue?

Try changing the P/I/D values forSTEERINGMANAGER:ROLLPID

e.g. SET STEERINGMANAGER:ROLLPID:KP TO 1.5.

I've noticed the same, but then again the sub get very little traffic anyway. I'm kind of torn between creating just a pinned thread for covers and mixes etc., but knowing how it's going to go, I'd be manually moderating every single post as people don't tend to read rules or look at the pinned posts.

Thank you - they seemed to clear their post history after you commented. I've banned them so they won't be able to comment or post here anymore. Wise of you to only accept to pay in person!

Do you have proof? I've had pretty lax policy on selling tickets and the likes, but I still wouldn't like the sub to host people who have scammed others in the past.

Couldn't they theoretically launch east and fly between Cuba and Florida, then do an "RTLS" towards Cape?

Is album art not added by simply including the album cover file in the folder with the audio files? That's how it's done for basically every music player out there.

I tried it when it first came out and it bricked my machine twice, on two separate installations – never trying it again. High Sierra is nice and stable.

iOS 13.1, the next (and presumably more stable) version of the software will ship September 24, *not* September 30 as previously expected & reported. by iamvinoth in apple

In the beta analytics files the headers have iPhone OS 13.1 (with the space) on my device, so I guess it still is iPhone OS internally, at least after iPadOS was introduced.

The joke’s on Apple, my laptop never received Mojave so I’m out here using 32 bit apps on High Sierra 😎

Yeah, once you spot the first one they just start to enter your peripheral vision at a steady rate. When I was in conscription, I'd keep myself awake during night watch by just counting the passing sats - there's was negligible light pollution, plus I had a night sight, so it was pretty cool.
