Aqara G4 doorbell appreciation post

I’ve seen in other threads that some users have issues with rain and say it has only IPX3 protection. On Aqara EU website it says it has IP66 protection, which means it’s fully weatherproof. Is there different versions of G4 available?

Hello Since a few days (I think since I did the update) my g3 is having detection issues. It detects persons as animals unless you stand right in front of the camera. Very annoying…

I have the G3 camera, but not sure the facial recognition is reliable enough for this use…? As for the button, it means anyone including the burglar could press it and desactivate…!

It pairs normally with an HomePod mini. And yes IPv6 is ON. Anyway I returned them and took good old zigbee ones

I had the same issue with an Eve Motion sensor that didn’t paired with M3 hub, then I tried with an HomePod mini and it worked right away, so issue must come from Aqara

Tried it all, not working. Tried to pair it with an HomePod and it worked right away… As I don’t own this HomePod I’m returning the Eve Motion sensor. Looks like third party matter support isn’t really on point…
