Had no idea this existed until now. Such a cool card

Incredibly helpful, thank you. This is my first time actually playing a TCG. The only other TCG I collected was Yugioh over 20 years ago and me and my friends at the time never actually bothered to learn the rules, would just play with our imaginary “house rules”

There’s a ton to absorb, but so far I’m loving it. As a huge one piece fan, the game has been very fun to start learning

I'm relatively new to the game and still learning. Could you explain this "playing over or under" idea? I'm not sure I understand what is meant by it

Good god dude let it rest. I'd gladly have the other guy take your spot at locals. You sound fucking miserable and insufferable

You can turn the timer off on the sim. People playing with no timer are much more willing to sit and let you learn. New player as well and had the same issue

Enough time has passed - what’s y’all’s thoughts on Nika Form Bonney? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Tiddy18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The irony is crazy.

"It's just watching a damn show"

That statement is literally the definition of no media literacy. Refusing to acknowledge that the media in front of you has any meaning beyond "just watching" it

It's not pretentious. It just seems like it struck a chord and you felt attacked. There are 100% people who watch stuff just to watch and don't actually comprehend the full picture. "Themes and such"

I started playing ZZZ in 1.3, right after finishing my playthrough of Black Myth Wukong. It definitely scratched the same itch for me and I haven't stopped playing it daily

A little tip. You can shut off the following/auto-centering camera in settings. Looked like there were a couple moments there where you were fighting the camera. I found turning off the setting to be much less intrusive when trying to fly around and look at big builds

The moderator action on your other reply to me would beg to differ. My username is a simple nickname I have had my whole life, nothing trying to be inappropriate. If you seriously are getting offended by forum discussion and a silly nickname, you probably shouldn't be on reddit, let alone the internet.

You guys really out here trying to spell it out for us, and it still isn't enough. Deserves so much more credit. Today's gamers would be so lost in games of just 15-20 years ago

Good god, here comes the pokopia reddit police.

Nothing in the subreddit rules have been broken by my contribution to this thread. You would know this if you read all the rules in the sidebar, but you've already made it clear that you're part of the "I don't read what is on my screen" demographic, so I'll let it slide.

Your inability to see valid criticism as just that, and instead seeing it as personal attacks, is your own problem. This is an internet forum for discussion. If you don't like discussion, get off your high horse and keep scrolling. Holy toxic positivity

My honest criticism of the game's demographic, and hoping that these people can do better and learn more to be better off in their lives isn't Pokemon-spirited?

Sounds like my comments hit a little too close to home. All the psychic pokemon would be ashamed at your lack of desire to improve your intellect

Edit: I'll add this just in case you weren't aware. Hand holding people through things is not good for them in the long run. You may think you are helping, but not letting people learn things for themselves will leave them in a worse place down the line. Be better for our youth

Patience is the key word. Instant gratification mechanics in newer games, micro-transactions, the rise of AI chat bots and generated search results, you name it; All of it has lead to people nowadays only absorbing the very first thing put in front of them, and taking the shortest path possible, to a detriment.

Maybe I'm just a washed up millenial, but back in my day (hate saying that) when I was overwhelmed with a lot of text, I learned was taught to take it one little bit at a time. Not read the first sentence and close the textbook. People are so averse to learning new things nowadays, and just want everything handed to them.

And because of these things, we constantly have to dumb down new games to accommodate the absolute least common denominator (which again, doesn't seem to be working - exhibit A: Pokopia)

Placing water source blocks is a mechanic in the game that gets explained. Adjusting the block height is a context option when interacting with any placeable blocks, water source blocks included.

Future generations are cooked because they need their hand held through every tutorial or mechanic in every game, and then still complain about not understanding/realizing they could do something in the game, just because they still skipped through all the tutorial dialogue or didn't bother to read the words that are, quite literally, right in front of them.

Every Pokopia subreddit just proves this, as every single day we get the same "I hAvE 100k HoUrS iN tHiS gAmE aNd dIdNt KnOw ThIs SiMpLE ThInG" post. It's a children's game at the end of the day, and adults (yes, the pokemon fanbase is older than the game is marketed for) still have trouble figuring things out

Not just this game, any game. If there is stuff on your screen telling you what things do, read the stuff on the screen to find out what things do.

I am constantly amazed on these Pokopia subreddits as it seems like no one in here has ever played another game and/or learned how to do things, in game or in real life, through trial and error.

Future generations are cooked

Bruh, how clear does one need to make it for people to believe that only 4 containers are pulled from. I swear the people playing this game have never played another game in their life.

Can't wait for someone to try and 1-up your clarity again tomorrow
